Next results:
- in some games (Disney's Tarzan, The Crow - but not only) you can hear echo of BIOS sound in the beginning
- maybe I'm doing something wrong, but there are games who don't react to any keys pressed (eg. Tomb Raider II - which doesn't work on older versions, GTA - which work on older versions without music, Epidemic - which also work on older versions)
- selecting "load from DVD" on console that doesn't support data DVD's freezes emulator
- a silly thing: I noticed that short file names (without animation) shows with extension, and long (with animation) shows without extension

Most games run fine and stable.

@xjsxjs197 Thanks a LOT FOR THIS NEW update!!!
Rayman 1 works now, i'm gonna playing it! :D

@rexus_pl

Main PS1 sound has its pitch fixed, but CDDA music hears like high-pitched. @xjsxjs197, any chance for look what's causing the emulated CDDA audio to be high-pitched?
Still enjoying this cool feature now on WiiSXRX_2022, it's better playing the games with all the sound the game have instead of just SFX (sound effects). :)

@GustavoReis

Minor GFX glitches now? I need to test this.
I thought they were a little more than minor. You don't see any of the characters on the character select screen, and more importantly there's transparency issues with the player karts and you can't see any of the crates to open on the tracks.

Is the 9/3 release available?

tomb raider 2 is an all time issue on emulators, even on ps3 tomb raider 2 has no controlls or random crashes, someone did some random ass codding for that game, there are moded isos which fix this even for ps3 a and i bet it will fix it here too check the mods

For those testing out WiiSXRX 2022 on the Wii U and want to play on the Wii U Gamepad, I've whipped up a very quick forwarder:

Code:
https://anonfiles.com/907324vby5/wiisxrx2022_zip

Install with WUP Installer GX2. Also, make sure your WiiSXRX 2022 .dol on your SD card is located at sdcard:/apps/wiisxrx-22/boot.dol.

Thanks to @SaulFabre for pointing out how to use FIX94's Nintendont forwarder to do this. I just used a hex editor to change the path :) I should note that I used the following title ID for the inject: 00050002A08300C5. So if you have another title that uses this same ID, this will conflict with that.

I created this forwarder so I could also use the original WiiSXRX forwarder without any problems.
The link is not active anymore.

@niuus @Dakangel Thank very much.
This is really a very good suggestion. If there is a further update in the next version, the name of the emulator is wiistation
Just did a quick mockup for a WiiStation logo:

wiistation.png

I took inspiration from the prototype Nintendo PlayStation logo here: https://playstation.fandom.com/wiki/Nintendo_PlayStation?file=Nintendo_PlayStation_logo.svg.

Maybe someone can create something better, but I thought I'd use some Nintendo history here :)

More testing(9/3):

Panzer Bandit - Works in WiiSXRX 2.7. In 2022 it never gets off the PSX logo boot up screen and has text about it's file name underneath the logo, exactly like I reported about Touki Denshou - Angel Eyes.

Tatsunoko Fight - Locks up exactly like Panzer Bandit above. Works in 2.7.

Diablo - Try as I might with video option toggles I can't quite get the performance out of any version of 2022 for this game that I can out of 2.7. Also 2022 has occasional hiccups in the background music that doesn't occur in 2.7. A long time back because of playing/enjoying Diablo in WiiSXRX, I ended buying a physical copy for my PS2, and can testify that 2.7 performance is *very* close to actual hardware.

I find it interesting that 3 ISO's lock up at the boot screen in the same fashion and are all Japanese/Import titles. Seems like a simple trigger on boot up isn't getting tripped. Can anyone else test these 3 and see if they experience the same?

I love the reference! Could probably use this in place of the snes logo?

Well, the icons.... Didn't see a white background version!
Yeah, have to have the square, triangle, X, and O in there graphically somehow. That's like a Playstation identifier.

Personally partial to WiiStation too.

are you actually making sure that the jap bios is on the bios folder and that the bios is set in the settings to be used?

@xjsxjs197 This last version works quite well on my original Wii 4.3 except for the fact that every time I close the emulator I get a code dump. Tested also with a clean install.
Thank you very much.
This happened to me too after changing the bios options and / or the language with the emulator telling me to restart it but giving me a code dump every time i close it.

PD. here are two more homebrew icons to resemble the original playstation logo

just got Tatsunoko Fight and runs fine for me on the latest build, i tought at first it was an fmv game lol so much anime cutscenes but its actually a fighting game xD

this said yeah you are not using the bios for sure. my setup is
ps1 bios 5500(jap) renamed to SCPH1000.BIN
ps1 bios 7501(usa) renamed to SCPH1001.BIN
ps1 bios 7502(pal) renamed to SCPH1002.BIN

this is my bios folder, also make sure in settings you got use bios yes and choose sd/usb and save again maybe and make sure you put execute through bios maybe?

@Dakangel I have verified that the emulator gives code dump if you exit without having loaded any game, at least in my original Wii. Load a game as soon as you open the emulator and test if it works this way for you too, I have already been able to change and save the options and exit the emulator without errors with this in mind.

So... Tomb Raider II works, GTA too... and others problematic games I've tested too. Emulator works more than OK - these games don't support analog controllers. For now solution is to select proper controller manually in emulator settings.

According to this, my feature request is way to override global settings for every game that need it - like USB Loader GX can do. Maybe some .ini file, named same as game image, with all nessesery options to make game work.

I've updated Compatibility List on Wiki (still best option to share compatibility results for me).

problem is most people enter wrong info because they forget that the bios isnt there, or bad isos, for instance powepuff girls iso wouldnt start because it had a , in the files so i edited the bins and the calling of said files inside the cue, but most people will just put the game doesnt work. its kinda of a hard thing to confirm since we got issues like this and others manly not using bios and saying the games crash etc.

@pedro702 you're right, and @niuus metioned all these problems. I think it wouldn't be that hard to create simple PHP script to manage personal compatibility list, and merge it into one ultimate list.

Maybe I'll try to do something like that, and run it on some free hosting - if it would be helpful for people creating emulators.

I already had BIOS enabled. Select Bios is set to SD, and Boot Through Bios is set to Yes. Almost all games won't work otherwise.

I had asked a page back if I needed all the BIOS files I had in my BIOS directory and Niuus said I didn't. WiiSXRX 2.7 definitely works with my current game collection and a single BIOS. The emulator seems geared towards looking for SCPH1001.BIN.

I found and renamed some bios's and had something interesting happen. The other bios show the boot screen and tell me to insert a playstation in disk(and in Japanese if I'm using the Japanese bios). I'm wondering if my ISOs for these games are corrupt. I'm going to try and redownload them and see. It's just weird that WiiSXRX 2.7 has no issue loading these.
