I don't know if it's a bug, but ARK's overclock values are not forced.
some retail games by default enable 333/166 in game and revert to 222/111 in the menus, like for example MGS PW
using PRO/ME the overclock values are forced and in ARK they are not.

I could solve it by using the HUD plugin or some other plugin but in Vita some plugins don't work well
I was using hud, but it didn't do what I wanted. home does though. you can manipulate the time in the lang.txt iirc, as well as some other things. what's kinda messed up is the spoofer. not sure how it got screwed up after simply copying it.

I know what you mean but I'm mainly referring to Vita, since lacking the home button and volup and voldown buttons some combos do not work since the PS button returns to livearea... therefore some plugins cannot be opened.

I'm using adrenaline on the vita, barely use the system at all, except to update apps. I'm intrigued by ark4, so I installed infinity, then Ark to quadruple boot. it's getting better all the time. I guess me and pro are no longer being worked on.

btw, the only plugin I use on the vita, that I can think of, is dayviewer. however, I may use the ultimate vsh menu by the flow0, just can't recall if it worked correctly on the vita.

@godreborn I read about your post, I think you can also use DayViewerForGame, it is basically the same as the plugin for VSH but for the GAME home menu, and you can use it in conjunction with HUD...

actually it is only a triple boot, the fourth boot does not exist since you are using Infinity in OFW mode which I guess is the one you consider the fourth boot. at least that's how I see it
the plugins in Vita Adrenaline like HUD if you open its configuration menu it suffers performance drops I think it is due to its bilinear filter that PS Vita uses.

actually, holding home boots into ofw, so it is quadruple boot with me, pro, and ark4. also, I tried dayviewer in ark4 by adding it to game. it didn't work. trying to use the spoofer, which also displays date, crashes games upon boot. odd behavior I guess.

but the dayviewer you are using is the normal version, there is another one that was made specially for games, but I think the plugin you are using right now is more complete.

a fork? what I have now is okay, I guess. it contains more info. though, hud shows battery percentage, time remaining, and time on the bottom of the screen. what's odd, is that it had to be at the bottom of my vsh and game list in plugins.txt or it didn't work.

yeah some vsh plugins need to be at the bottom or at the top for them to work correctly.

No it's not the bilinear filter, it's the fact that stock pspemu clock speed is set at 444MHz by Sony to make PSP games more fluent on Vita (and also so that bilinear filter and all the extra communication between Vita ARM CPU and PSP MIPS CPU doesn't drop performance). Adrenaline makes the mistake of downclocking it back to real PSP 333MHz, which with all the added bloat of real PSP 6.61 firmware (VSH files and other 6.61 kernel modules that are heavier than their ePSP counterparts) just makes Adrenaline not perform as good as retail pspemu performs.

Btw, I did a cleanup of the CPU clock speed code, maybe that fixes the issue you were getting, here's a build, let me know if it's fixed or not:

be careful with place. the admin is on a power trip. he took away my pm privileges, so I vowed never to help a place member with any system. it's either me or him. the site might be okay for ps3 stuff, but that's about it.

so let's say 111 MHZ in ePSP is reserved for external PSP stuff?
a question, in Vita I am using SD2Vita and I have my internal memory mounted in imc0, and my memory card umc0 I have PSP games stored, using Adrenaline I can change partition and play using those memories, in ARK would that be possible?

there's no such thing as reserving MHz, the CPU runs at that clock all the time.
Back when native Vita hacks weren't available we had estimated the clock frequency to be somewhere around 450MHz, later revealed to be 444MHz. The DOSBox and Daedalus teams were the first to notice this since their emulators were performing much better on Vita than on PSP at 333MHz, with the DOSBox team estimating that the CPU was running at about 60% faster or so.

As for changing the partitions, it should be possible to do that but not directly in ARK, rather outside it, via VitaShell or something like that. I haven't really tried anything like this. Remember that ARK doesn't really do any Vita-side patching, but it Vita-side can patch ARK (like the dual analog plugin).

btw, the admin of place gave me a dev badge, because I told him I could see people who were hidden (knew how), then he took it away for no reason. never thought I was a dev, but at least it made me feel respected. if I were to post a response to a ps4 question, and Berion, who thinks he's an expert and has never experienced the ps4 jailbreak (is more wrong than right, yet is a dev} which person would you believe? that's the sort of trash that's on psx-place.

I don't man I generally tend to ignore drama and other scenes and communities. I avoid PS3, PS4 and Vita scenes in particular, and I have my reasons for it. PSP and PS2 community is much more welcoming and open.

the ps3 scene is what hurt me so much. I was trying to dissuade others from being manipulated, but then I was attacked. it's like pirates don't have any morals whatsoever, so it made me want to quit. I haven't thus far, but I won't be a part of any future scene. I'm already not a part of the switch scene for this very reason. I'll compile switch stuff, if I can, but that's as far as I'll go. what's funny is the people who treated me like shit seemed to think the ps3 scene would be the last scene ever. :rofl2:

I have tried that pre-release and it works in the games, using the overclock or powersave option, but being in the XMB and changing the frequency using the HUD plugin and then changing it back to off, the frequency goes back to 222.

LIttle hint: if the biggest pieces of software used in any scene are not open source and developed by more than one person, stay away from that scene.

I suggest not to talk about other off-topic topics, I don't know how Acid Snake feels about it but as a reader I would be annoyed to come across things out of place.
