Downgrading games depends on the game not being built with an SDK of firmware 12.0 or higher. The newer the game, the greater the chances the SDK it was built with uses a higher firmware version. And the reason downgrading it won't work is because those games are compiled and developed using certain functions only found on those higher firmware versions. Therefore the issue is not SAK but the fact that these games were made with higher firmware versions in mind. So there will be a growing list of games that can never ever be played on SX OS.
thanks for the detailed response, is there a way to dual boot two emuNAND's (one with atmosphere and the other Sx os) my SD is big enough just wondering if i can use atmosphere without completely doing away with my sx os

All you do is just make 2 different emuMMC partitions. I don't think it matters whether you make the Atmophere or SX OS one first but since Hekate is much more robust, I'd recommend making the SX OS partition first then use Hekate to make an emuMMC partition to use with Atmosphere.

Nope, found local service that cleans up and manages consoles overall . There's not even a way for me to send it to official Nintendo service, tbh

Yes, it's V1, bought on release

Well, it's hot enough that after playing for half an hour in a dock i can't handle it by the screen. It cools down after time, ofc, but i'm afraid it may burn in dock, especially in that one hell of a Summer we have. In handheld fans got noticeably louder since release, that's for sure, even when i play less demanding games . There's probably no thermal paste left and while i kept it in case, well, it's old so it would require some attention

And no, it's not new SD Card. I just ordered new one so it should be in my hands at around Thursday. It's my previous, 128GB card that i installed CFW for the first time this winter, i wasn't wiping it clean just in case of something happening. I updated it today and works like a charm so far but not doing anything crazy with it

Whew! OK, cool.

Local Techs won’t care one iota about your CFW (unless you had overclocking software on it...which you don’t…right.)

Thermal paste can be a little crusty and no cause for concern unless you’re running BOTW for hours on end. My bet is on a fan. Either way…easy fix that any decent tech can quickly help with.

Reread your posts and saw the card swap. Glad it seems to be working for you!

Good luck on the repair…I hope it’s cheap! 🤞🏼 💵

I would really try it all myself but I know my luck and i know it's better to not tempt it xd

Still, like i said - if i remove my current SD card, will it boot to OFW without a problem?

I tried that & it wont install even with that. This game just wont install but everything else does just fine
Which title installer are you using?

I'm afraid I cannot offer an opinion on his guide. The reason being his attitude and demeanor. The second anyone on the forum says anything remotely negative about SX OS, not only does he take personal offence but he makes it his mission to make it seem "wrong". He cannot handle any of the flaws of the CFW no matter what leading me to interpret him as a very closed-minded individual. While SX OS may be able to mount .XCI files off of a hard drive, the number of other things you can do with Atmosphere and non-SX related homebrew hardly justifies keeping an extra emuMMC partition dedicated to SX OS. The only scenario where I can imagine someone doesn't want to part with SX OS is because they are accustomed to it. That much I can relate to as a Gateway user who never installed Luma or B9S. Therefore, I usually do not push users to convert without good reason. Majority, if not all, users are content with converting anyway.

I want to upgrade the capacity of my micro sd card.

Can I just copy the contents on the new and larger micro sd card with same name without any issues?

Thank you

I cant seem to install Xenoblade Chronicles 3. I have both the NSP & XCI. I split both with Switch Army Knife & organized everything into separate folders. The split files wont install. Any ideas why ?
I tried that & it wont install even with that. This game just wont install but everything else does just fine
All updated like I said this is the only thing not installing
As mentioned earlier Tinfoil. This is the only game not working
FYI none of your previous posts mention tinfoil so its impossible for me to have known what you were using to install it. Anyway, I highly recommend trying TinWoo Installer instead as its what I personally use and I never have any issues while using it.

assuming you have autorcm off, yes.
one thing to note, if you are installing nsps on your sysnand thats exosphere'd, removing the sd will expose that nand to nintendo. if you use a emunand for everything then your fine.

That's the problem, i have autoRCM on. And i guess simply just disabling it in Hekate won't work, right?

yes, that will work, just turn it off in hekate, then shutdown, remove sd. done.
when you get it back, insert sd, insert jig, put into rcm, inject hekate and turn autorcm back on, boot like normal into cfw.

In the end, both will technically be installing to the SD card so you are correct that system memory for the emuMMC is still the SD card.
But the system memory for emuMMC is the space that you partitioned in order to make the emUMMC in the first place.
In other words, installing to system memory for emuMMC won't take up additional space on your SD card assuming you have space in your internal memory. Whereas installing to the SD card will continuously take up space until you run out of space on the SD card.
How do you mean it won't take up the space on SD card if that IS the SD cards memory?
Can you be more specific please?

Hello again! I'm pretty scared of accidentally going to the wrong person for repairing my switch, so uh.. does anyone have suggestions for how to look for a reliable place for this that won't potentially just destroy my switch or something? (i'm in california, i don't want to be more specific for personal reasons)

Yelp? It’s like any other business. Look for someone who has been around for a while (bad guys can’t stay afloat forever) and has good reviews (even a few…most people say nothing when they get good service so a handful of bad reviews is OK as long as there are some good ones mixed in.) Also go talk to them in person. It’s hard to be nice for any period of time if your intent is to disrespect someone’s property. You’re going to have to use your spidey senses.
