Hi all, I'm interested to use translation mod for Yo-Kai Watch 1 Remastered to play in English, so English patch use LayeredFS.

I'm asking about category risk, so use English patch/mod is same category risk as use cheat in single player (low risk) or same category risk as pirated contents or install NSP (high risk to guarantee ban). I notice that mod use LayeredFS.

It does help me to determine if I need emuNAND or not.

Its probably on the lower end since its LayeredFS. Maybe someone who plays the game may shed more light.

Has anyone gotten banned for transferring their Pokemon: Legends Arceus or Mario Kart 8 Deluxe save files from emuNAND to sysNAND? I'd like to do that for both games but I saw someone say they got banned for having a PLA save from before the game officially released. Regarding MK8DX, I have no idea if anyone's been banned. I'm buying MK8DX and planning on modifying my VR so I can play online when the new DLC tracks come out.

No. I always play the games early on emuMMC and buy the game if I like it enough. digital or physical. Transferring your save to sysMMC does not cause any ban unless you modified some values that you shouldn't to gain an advantage. I modded my VR and BR and never got banned through a save editor that was available. Not sure if the guy is still around to update it

If your PLA save has legit Pokémon so you are fine when go online.

As for Mario Kart 8 DX, you are 100% fine.

Awesome, thanks for the info guys. The person that said they were banned after transferring their PLA save never said if they used mods or hacked their Pokémon so that would make sense. I've never used cheats for either games (I'll be modding my VR in MK8DX like I mentioned) so I'm glad to hear you did the same without any bans.

I've modded my bag to have max all items. I dont really like hacking mons since its not legit. Yeah i can make them legal but its not the same. Of course i will RNG abuse for one since its legit and its just pressing the A button at the right time. Having hacked pokemons that arent legal can get you banned like pokemons that cant be shiny because of it not being available yet

Im tired of changing between firmware to play online and I wonder if if theres no problem connecting Atmosphere in sysnand to the internet, I think my sysnand is really clean because I never pirated anything and only installed a theme and homebrew menu

Have too many in game ban can lead to console ban - hit or miss.

Cheating in online games are strongly discouraged.

online game ban is one but the ones who are cheating purposely on a online game of course know the risk. This mostly apply to Nintendo 1st party games like Smash ultimate, Splatoon 2, and Animal crossing. I've cheated many 3rd party titles and none have ways to ban you. Surprisingly Nintendo never caught me with modded VR and BR for MK8D but who's to say they wont add some cheat detection system for it one day. I'm sure time trials have ban risk just to keep leaderboards clean. Been so long since I've checked. People who pirate games will always get their switch banned before getting caught cheating online

I'm surprised about Animal Crossing and I hacked this game without ban for 2 years now.

Been wanting to hear this news for a long time. I only use CFW for backing on my game saves and messing with amiibo, mods ect. Knowing I don't have to switch to OFW to go online is great

Only time I leave CFW is when I update my system.

If you update atmosphere beforehand you can also just update in CFW, no need to go to stock, unless the firmware is not yet supported ^^

Thanks mate, great tip. I'm sure it's mostly a placebo peace of mind thing though. A semblance of "protection" when being brazen with CFW use.

Sounds great! Do you use some protection like 90dns? I have it set it on, also have exosphere is off because it clear your serial number
