Nintendo Switch gets a price drop in Europe

swotch.jpeg

After a few years on the market, Nintendo has decided to lower the base MSRP of the Nintendo Switch all throughout Europe. In the past, the Switch retailed for £279.99/€329.99, and now, after the price reduction, the base model of the console will cost £259.99/€299.99. Switch Lite consoles will not be affected by any price change. For those that haven't yet bought one, you can grab a brand new reduced-price Switch from the official Nintendo Store, unless of course, you're waiting on the Nintendo Switch OLED version.

I bought the base model like, in early 2020. Nice to hear they made a price drop in my country as well as in Europe!

Ooh mama, checked the prices of Switches in Poland - they're still at 1400PLN // 362USD. And the only way to get one in this country is only via retailers and not even through an official Nintendo store, because no such thing exists in Poland.

Guess Nintendo will keep neglecting this region for years to come. And then questions and wonders why people will use the "illegal" methods to play their shit.

It's to ruin the second hand market before the OLED comes out. Why buy a used one for 200 when you can get a new one for 250? Dirty Nintendo is dirty.
"hey guys we're lowering the price of our thing"
"this must be some dirty trick to make people buy it more! lowering the price can't just be to increase sales WITHOUT some evil special motive or form thereof!"
