Oh okay, I use the Pro Controller
I guessed that may be the case, sorry can't help there, I don't have a Pro Controller.
You could try starting Retroarch with the Gamepad then take the Gamepad out of range from the Console then turn on the Pro Controller. (apparently you could also press the sync button on the Gamepad too to turn it off but I haven't tried that method)

Hey folks. well bad news, embercold has stopped working on the PS1 Bounty :( this has always been my worse fear ever since this bounty began.

I apologize it has to end that way, but I failed to make any progress this week, and even thoughts of returning to this project make me miserable, so I have to abandon it. In addition, I've already spent twice more time on it than I could really afford, and the repercussions I'll have to sort out for the rest of the month. I'm sorry for leading you on. The state of the work I've left is solid, with only WiiU pthread polyfill and a proper lightrec port remaining. Please feel free to use it if you wish - I have no claims whatsoever to the code.

It sucks yes, but there is a silver lining.. Alot of the work is actually done, the GPU implementation was apparently a nightmare :P
in theory, all that needs to be added is the Lightrec ) I guess we'll see if there's someone out there who will add it. (and remember there is a PPC Dynarec in the port now but it needs optimisation)

A direct link to the WiiU port's code that embercold had would be of great help for those interested in continuing it or giving it a peek:

I feel like the Issue thread needs that link as well :P

Hello everyone, do you think that one day we will have the chance to see the return of hid to vpad, it was nice to be able to connect all kinds of controllers

I'd love be able to use the Switch NES and SNES controllers with Wii U RA.

The Pro Controllers work, but not PC Engine.

The pro controller works, but now in a different way, you don't need to turn off the gamepad. Just leave the gamepad on port 1 (in settings>input) and the pro controller on port 2. This configuration is not the core configuration, but the retroarch itself.

The only thing that will happen is that the menu can be accessed by the gamepad, and not by the pro controller anymore.

cant believe im way behind reading this post because i never got alert notifcation if there new comments on here a month wow! im surprise to see someone working hard to get ps1 core on Wii U or Wii also i have been following Darkmattercore sometime he has done lot with N64 on Wii U or Wii with injection or rice 64 or glide 64 or whatever with overclocked he has over 300 games done with all regions tested. Wii U is still King and the best ass kick emulators. Hope to see someone to take over the ps1 and rework on it also i think m4xw should work on ps1 and n64 like ploggy said that m4xw favorvite n64 core also he did done with ps1 on switch.
