Hardware Still have a short after removing M92T36

So I got a faulty switch full of issues, I swapped the M92T36, the Pi3usb and I got a working switch, except for a faulty touchscreen/cart reader and it wouldn't dock?
The charger would only charge on one side so thought it must be a faulty usb port.
I swapped the port today and then it wouldn't start at all?
Took apart and had a short around the M92 again (pictured below) circled where short is.



I removed the chip, still have the short, removed the pi3usb, still have the short, removed the usb c as that is what started the issues, still have the short?
Any tips on where I can go from here please?

Did you check cap itself, remove clean measure then put back if cap not shorted out of circuit.

Best thing you can do here is take components off until the source is found. This is a 1.8v rail I'm pretty sure, maybe inject 1V try to get some heat if you have a thermal cam. I took a donor and measured where this goes for you. Some transistors that look like they have something to do with Joycons, Main PMIC, and CPU are all in that list. Everything circled is on this rail and ground and could possibly be doing this. I checked the CPU shorted boards I have and this rail is also short. One is without M92 and Main PMIC. Let's hope CPU is okay.

Thanks for the detailed reply and time in taking measurements. I will do some checking tomorrow but as you said I'm wishing it not to be the cpu!
