this seems like a convenient alternative but would require me to go online. I have my switch in airplane mode whenever using emummc.
I still have not gone down the incognito rabbit hole.
Setup 90dns and/or incognito on emunand/emummc. As long you dont use it on sysnand. You don't need to worry bout backing up ur prod.info, BUT it is suggested. I've been running incognito since it came out and I love it. Also atmosphere has its own built in incognito, you just need to enable it in the settings.ini (i think it was in there, its in one of the config templates)

As nice as it is there is a concern with updating Atmosphere file while it is running in the background, that why the Atmosphere Updater app stopped support.

Thats for updating atmosphere its self, which recently Hamlet (or whatever the author of the apps name is) updated it to run similarly to deepsea's method of updating atmosphere.

Well you never know if it would one day brick the NAND, that why SciresM doesn't recommend these over the air update while Atmosphere is running.

I dont see how it would but anything could possibly brick ya. I use everything on emunand personally. But itll now extract all the files that it can extract, then itll reboot to a payload to finish the rest of what it needs to do. For firmware updates (not atmosphere, hekate, etc.) Itll just download the zip then extract it for you. after that just use daybreak to update firmware

I guess I should clarify it more, ScriesM doesn't recommend over the air update for Atmosphere while it is running in the background.
