What happens if you plug it directly into the console and open up HID to Vpad? Can you directly have the Pro Controller pretend to be the Gamepad? If not, your solution is the simplest one not to need additional hardware (e.g. an adapter to make it show up as a PlayStation controller &c.).

I hate bumping old threads and this one was active much more recently than the other HID to VPAD thread.
I'm going to try to use this and WiinUSoft to pair my Wii U Pro Controller over my GamePad by using my Pro Controller to emulate an Xbox controller on my PC and using the emulated controller to emulate the GamePad through HID to VPAD.
There's got to be an easier way though, right?

Wait what?
Just use HID to VPAD to actually map your Wii U Pro Controller over your GamePad. Works without any problems.

I tried this and succeeded thanks. But whenever I launched The Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess HD, the connection stops and reconnection fails(When I tried Wind Waker, it worked fine). Could you please check it for me? I used switch pro controller and changed it into Xinput using betterjoyforcemu.

Does it work when directly connected to the console, without using the Network Client?

Yes. It worked when connected using cables.

Has this solved your problem?
Or was your original question about troubleshooting using the controller wirelessly?
I can suggest things to try, but don’t have a pro controller, so won’t be able to check what works myself.

My original question was about troubleshooting using the controller wirelessly.

The Network Client *should* detect your Pro Controller without the additional software - the first page of this thread says so.

WiinUPro http://www.wiinupro.com/home can also make it appear to the system as an Xinput controller.

But it works well when I launch other games.(Zelda Wind Waker, super mario 3d world, kirby) When I launch Zelda Twilight princess, the network client still detects my controller, but the connection between pc and wii u stops.
Also, I tried connecting my controller to pc without any additional software but my pc didn't detect it as controller.

I made one myself. This only works with official Dualshock 3s wirelessly using Mayflash NS. It goes in wiiu/controller on your sd card.

I Can't make the HID to VPad Network Client working on super smash brothers. If one of them i configure as the tablet controller, it works, but the others just don't respond.
Anyone knows how to fix this?

You can use the mayflash magic-ns in its d-input mode so that you can connect the controllers directly to your console.

Just curious, which controllers are you using?

I have a weird problem where buttons don't seem to press until they are released. The game seems to recognize when I'm holding a button, but it won't register the press until I let go.

I bought a Dual Shock 4 specifically for use on my Wii U in case the old controllers (Gamepad, Wii U Pro) died. And guess what? I bought the new model without knowing it was not compatible!!!!!!!

But oh, well. That was on me, I guess.

Now I'm trying to use it via the network client with my new controller but for some reason I can't connect the Dual Shock 4. It says there is no profile for in on the Wii U. I do, however, have a ds4new.ini in there - I just checked it. What might be wrong? How come it isn't working?

This is what appears on my network client. Xbox One controller works ok. DS4 does not. What can I do? Shouldn't the ds4new.ini configuration already cover this?

Hi, I’ll explain my problem; I know how to use Xbox one controller with hidtovpad, I already have the network client and I’m able to conect my controller trough my pc. But when I push start to apply the patch, the white Wii U screen appears, and in the network the button that is supposed to say “disconnect” shows “reconnecting” and a few moments later it shows again the message “connect” and my controller get disconnected. Any one could help me?

I'm having the exact same issue. The controller works just fine until I apply the patch. I suspect there's a way to make hidtovpad run in the background and not just close once I apply the patch, but I've got no idea. Hopefully someone will help us find a solution.
