this has been discussed before. as much as I wish there was no politics section (have it banned from my newest postings), one of the mods made a good point the last time this was discussed. it does give a place for bullshit to be posted without cluttering the other forums. btw, politics isn't the eof section, it's in world news, so I agree there. thought you'd get me, did you?

Haven't you seen the amount of politics related posts in the EoF? I'm not talking about the hellhole that is the politics section, i'm talking about the EoF.

I am still not sure why people so vehemently dislike the politics section. Usually get some half OK discussion (nothing particularly in depth) and some discussion of events of the day, maybe the occasional deeper dive. Few people throw insults but you get that when you profess a fondness for any given game under the sun, whereas that should really be saved for Sonic Adventure, Monster Hunter, modern Fire Emblem and Kingdom Hearts fans.

Basically nothing of consequence happens there, the occasional bit of silliness and nothing people need be upset over.
