Hardware Will a Nintendo Switch work in docked mode with an unplugged screen?

i'd like to know this because i had an idea for a hardware mod, i ask because i know the ds refused to work with an unplugged top screen unless a resistor was soldered between two pins

From seeing repairs on YouTube, IIRC the Switch works without backlight or screen connected.

I'm surprised nobody has made a "Switch Consolizer" mod yet. A shell that would turn a broken screen'd Switch into a proper game console in perma-dock mode. Similar to the GBA Consolizer.

yeah, pretty much what i wanted to make, also, maybe try to replace the stock cooler with something else and see if stable overclock is possible

I thing a laptop heatpipe and blower fan would make a nice cooler. Just getting it to be efficient and now loud can be tricky, but you can use a liquid metal thermal paste to achieve quiet.

You can load into atmosphere without a screen on your switch, but you need to load in directly because hekate/CtCaer doesn't show up when in the dock.

thanks, though i don't currently own a switch, i wanted to know if it would work before forking the cash out, might get to it if i evver find a broken screen switch for 100 usd pretax (should be about 250 after taxes and shipping)
