Hey, could you please add these cheats to the databse?

Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow (US).

Always have the default button configuration (For when you're using the Succubus Glitch):

020F7230 02000100

Save File #1 - Not Clear:
2210AACA 00000000

Save File #2 - Not Clear:
2210AACB 00000000

Save File #3 - Not Clear:
2210AACC 00000000

Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin (US).

Upgrade Richter's Axe Sub-Weapon (Press Select):

C0000000 000000D2
DC000000 00000000
D8000000 00000000
D2000000 00000000

Also, if its not too much of a bother, could you please add the Latinfix hack for OoE and Complete Unova Dex Edition hack for PKMN Black to the database?

The Castlevania - Dawn of Sorrow codes seem to defeat the purpose of using the glitch, last I checked you can't exactly use the default configurations with it, even if you did, why don't you just set the configuration up normally speaking via the button menu? As for the save codes, you definitely shouldn't use the glitch until you beat the game (you can really break the game which can vary on results if you do it without actually meeting the proper requirements of doing said glitch), I am still a bit baffled on what other use these would have considering removing the complete save options removes the New Game+ content (that's why a clear save set of cheats exist so players can hop to that mode quickly). I still have to work on Portrait of Ruin, the sub-weapon code would make a nice addition, I still have to redo Order of Ecclesia's code list (the time code was already planned to be added). I will add the other two hacks into the databases.

Some souls have levels above the normal maximum that cheats can't seem to replicate, and the default buttons code would help people who don't want to constantly check the menu to see if their controls have been shuffled. As for the codes that remove the Clear tag, they are really just there for Hard Mode Julius Mode saves, since starting New Game + from a Julius save changes it to Soma Mode. Also thanks for creating these cheat lists, they're quite useful.

Cheats can make the levels go above maximum, but considering what I know about the game, it's evident that some of those levels were left out for reasons, and I don't know if the end result is a bugged save (never played the game all the way through using levels that aren't accessible by normal means). It's one of those things where I know I could make something like that for people, but I also don't want to risk people getting broken save data (if you were around back in the day with the original databases before me, you would know why I say this).

...and the default buttons code would help people who don't want to constantly check the menu to see if their controls have been shuffled.
I am unsure where you found these codes, but I will probably go in and make one of my own just to make sure it was made correctly, not to say the original was made bad or anything, but the databases have had a really bad history where some codes were not made correctly and ultimately left players with corrupted saves. Not to say I don't trust other people's work, but I'd rather be safe than sorry.

As for the codes that remove the Clear tag, they are really just there for Hard Mode Julius Mode saves, since starting New Game + from a Julius save changes it to Soma Mode.
That's why mode modifier codes exist in the list so you can change the character modes at will in the save files :D.

Also thanks for creating these cheat lists, they're quite useful.
No problem! Glad they help.

The souls that go above max work fine, though some souls break or have incorrect sprites when you have 13 or more of them (Ripper, Persephone, Axe Armor, Waiter Skeleton, and Bomber Armor).

Good morning. I am having some trouble with the codes. I am trying to use your database for Spectrobes. I have the usrcheats.dat file in my twilight/extras folder. When I go into Twilight Menu++ and press Y then X on the game to open up the cheats, all the cheats are there, however when I activate the cheats I want to use and Save the cheats, whenever I load up the game, the cheats are not enabled. The game loads perfectly fine but no matter what I do the cheats are not being activated even though the usrcheats.dat file is in the proper place, I can mark the cheats I want to use, but they just are not being applied. I am running a CFW 3ds and using an actual game, just a rom version, not a rom hack.

edit: it is literally every single one of the Spectrobes codes that do not work. The compatibility list says they do work, however, no matter what theme I do (Homebrew, 3ds, DSi, SEGA, R4) not a single one of the codes works.

nds-bootstrap has a bit of a hiccup with one of the code types of Action Replay. So unfortunately any code utilizing said code type will only partially work or not work at all, both potentially vary in the results (no issues may arise, some issues may arise, or the game crashes).

So Im running into an issue when I can bring up the cheat menu for different games and select the cheats I want to use but when the game loads none of the cheats that Ive selected are engaged. Ive tried it with another nds game and still running in to the same issue. Running the latest TwiLight Menu++. Im not sure what Im doing wrong.

Sounds like the problem you just quoted. Nothing I can do about that since I don't develop nds-bootstrap.

Is there any way we would be able to tell which code types are being used? That way we could compile a list of games that use these code types? Or is it all just trial and error basis?

There are WAY too many titles to do such a thing. Considering not all of the codes using the code type are problematic (really small codes that use the code type does in fact work, it's the longer variants that are more problematic), that would make the list even harder to manage because now you have to test each one, which is impractical by all means. You'll just have to do trial and error sadly, once nds-bootstrap is fixed to use the code type properly, there won't be any more problems (unless updates break something unintentionally). If you really want to use certain cheats that don't work, you can use a flashcart or use an emulator to use them for the time being.

Welp you just contradicted yourself. At first you said that the problem was with one code type and it can come down to it partially working or not working at all. Now you are saying that only a small portion of the games that actually use that code type actually don't work and that the code type actually does work... Thanks for the cheat databases but I'm out of here. Have a good day.

Okay, the files are FAR too large for my computer to handle - they make Notepad++ hang, and trying to load the .xml on my browser (Brave) has said browser eventually throw an error and stop loading the file.
As a result I can't even delete codes I don't want (I just want cheats for Pokemon HeartGold, Black, and Black 2).

I do see .scc files, with individual game IDs, in the 7zip compressed folder...how do I open .scc files, though?

Or you took this wrong (somehow), but hey, whatever floats your boat dude. Indeed I stated that very small codes using the code type will work, but the reason why I said they would partially work as a whole is because the code type itself isn't supposed to break regardless of the code length. The break happens because nds-bootstrap doesn't handle the massive writes from it correctly, it used to not handle the code type at all until I got around to help the developers of nds-bootstrap fix it a bit. I still have no clue why it's broken. The whole "partially works or just breaks" statement isn't towards the codes themselves, but the code type in use with nds-bootstrap. The codes work just fine in every other place. Way too many games exist that use the code type, all of which vary in code length, it's trial and error, I am not sure how that's offensive in this sense.

.scc cheats are for the original SuperCard DSONE kernels (before the EOS era), no other flashcart can use them. As for the cheats.xml, I may have to drop support with jamming in codes into the xml document altogether due to these issues (XML is great for code but clunky as hell for cheats). I might also provide a readme on how to go about making an xml of your own with the codes you wish to use instead, that way hardware limitations isn't an issue (hardware is key for these types of things since a lot of the processes behind this content heavily utilizes the processor).

Hello! I have signed up here for two reasons.

The first is that I would like to thank you for this great file.

The second is that having seen recent messages (September 2020) ask you if there are cheats for the Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's Over The Nexus World Championship 2011, I would like a specific one but I can't find it anywhere and I don't know how to add them myself.

Specifically this:

Allow Multiple Forbidden / Limited Cards in Deck
5215a6ec e596210c
0215a6ec e3a02004
d2000000 00000000
