I don't have any harddrives laying around I can format, they are all in use for something and need the data on it. All of them are NFTS.
Can the PS4 use this without reformatting it? Or else Im boned... I think no way of getting a dump to internal harddrive of ps4?

And how does one convert ps4 dump to pkg for use with exploit?

no you need to format a drive in exfat or as an extended in the ps4.

in exfat you can stille use it for your other thing, but you can move around the ps4 folder that app2usb will create at the base of the drive

for the 2nd question go there: https://gbatemp.net/threads/aio-ps4-exploit-guide.497858/

@KiiWii have a great guide whit all ya need to know in it ;)

You can also remote pkg install from your computer. I installed Red Dead 2 in 32 minutes using ethernet to my external hard drive today.

Edit: I misunderstood what was being asked, but it's still relevant because the only way you can install to external on 6.72 is through remote package install. If you try from debug menu it will fail.

Do you use this "INSTALLING GAMES DIRECT TO CONSOLE" part of the thread linked here? Cuz the method seems really complicated...

What is " HTDOCS path is correct in the settings tab."?

the easier methode is to install the game via usb 3 on a exfat drive

put the pkg at the root of the drive go to your setting, go to debug mode, game, install pkg and chose your pkg and it will install. after that is back to web browser and lunch app2usb

app2usb will install the game on the external drive like it was on your main drive that why i said to not touch the ps4 folder after, your game will be there in ps4/cusa

remote install isent good for you since ya want to keep your hdd to use on pc

what you typed is the setting for remote instalation that a lots of setting to do for it to work
Jayinem81 says f you try from debug menu it will fail.

If you try to install from exfat usb to external formatted by ps4 it will fail is what I meant. I thought you said you had no space on your internal and wanted to install to external, but maybe I am confused. You can install from exfat usb to internal but not external.

no he said is internal was full and wanted a way to use a external wile keeping hes stuff on hes external hdd, the only way for that is tru app2usb on a exfat

in all all is external hdd are in ntfs and he need the stuff on them so for him to keep its stuff if he can xfer it temporary to format in exfat, put its stuff back and use the app2usb methode its good for him

and yes i know what ya mean you cant even not xfer after install from internal to external extended right now or the game wont work if you install internal it need to stay internal so only way is app2usb since the game stay internal

Yeah if you dont have an extra hard drive to format to the PS4 you would have to use apptousb. I just bought a 3 TB external for $40 on Amazon they're getting dirt cheap (used but 1 year warranty 3.5 w/o an enclosure)
