When i start mocha it make me a black screen for 5 second and make me go back to the homebrew laucher any help ?
Hello, thanks to everyone with the time to read and the will to help!
I consider myself as super noob about console hacking but not totally IT illiterate!
I did successfully hacked my 3ds, Wii, Wii u but always using tutorials.
I am running last firmware on a Japanese Wii U(5.5.3J), hacked with CBHC, that I am trying to make region free using FTPiiu everywhere. However, I am for some reason totally unable to run Mocha. When I boot I experience exactly the same issue of @Helpmewithmywiiu. I tried to go without it (since I read in other posts it was not really needed) and it synced but I cannot access the storage slc folder. Then I tried what @GABO1423 proposed with his config.ini, still no luck. Now instead of bringing me back to the Homebrew launcher menu, it brings me to the Wii U menu. I supposed it is related to the launchSysMenu=1 (that was also the only command different in my original config.ini).
I was not sure about opening another thread or post here since this is exactly what I am experiencing and I have the feeling the issue is Mocha/hack related. Spiik used to have the same behavior of Mocha but now for some reason boots. However, it does not work at all. Tried with European title with well-known booting problem on different regions and it did not boot (Mario 3d World), as well with European title that booted due to the hack but still present language in Japanese (Shovel Knight). At this point, I would appreciate any help! Thank you!
it sounds to me like it worked.
I am using CBHC but I supposed you still needed to boot into mocha to start CFW software Isn't the case? also there are different versions of FTPII u everywhere?
thanks, update.. all the apps we talked about (ftpiiue for cbhc, ftpiiue, mocha, spiik) they all went back to not booting. Starting them gives for a very short time black screen and then back to the homebrew menu.
Are you running an installed version of the Homebrew Launcher from an icon on your Wii U menu? There's a known bug with launching some homebrew, try launching HBL directly from the CBHC menu, or alternatively install this fixed version: https://github.com/GaryOderNichts/homebrew_launcher/releases/tag/v2.1_fixall the apps we talked about (ftpiiue for cbhc, ftpiiue, mocha, spiik) they all went back to not booting. Starting them gives for a very short time black screen and then back to the homebrew menu.
No, I was referring to your other problem with some homebrew apps not loading. I've never tried installing or using out-of-region titles, and I doubt the solution I posted would have any effect on region issues.thank you too for the message I will look into it... do you think it may have relevance for running different region games?
