Version 2.0.0 is out ! Here are the notes

Compiled with latest libnx. Tested on fw 10.0.4 with Atmosphere 0.13.0.

New features:
- First release of the GUI.
- Now SMM will automatically find the game image to the game folders.
- Mods management operation (applying, removing, checking) are now done asynchronously. This improves speed and allows a better loading monitor display.

Caveats:
- Few features are still missing from the consoleUI version (like showing conflicts or detailed view of the status of each mod file). You can still switch back to the old UI by going to the Settings menu. You can switch back to the GUI as well.
- Sometimes while playing with the mods preset editor might cause some random crashes. Those don't affect your mods files or parameters of SMM since they're related to the GUI memory allocation. If it happens just relaunch the app and everything you've done should be there.

Here are few updated screenshots:

IDK how you could improve on that UI. It looks fantastic! Eagerly awaiting this update. I love your mod manager.

Thanks for all your work! It's really helped me with experimenting with mods and I'm sure it's helped tons of other people as well.

I managed to merge Relics of the Past and most of the Linkle mods, which normally caused a crash. Thanks to this manager I was able to test each version of my 'merged mod' easily and figure out what worked.

Thanks a lot man ! For this release the mods conflicts display in still not implemented in the GUI. If you still need it tho, you can switch between consoleUI and GUI.

can you make some info about, what part of content to replace, eg for linkle it will replace Actor/, Weapon/ on your next ui update, btw i was enjoy with your mod, thank you so much

It would be much appreciated if you could make a tutorial on setting this up :)

Yeah, very good point! I will try to make a YouTube tutorial.

@nadrino Ive noticed your new version 2.0 overlay menu freezes the switch when selecting any option. I cannot get the new manager to work either, if I use sxos as my default preset and install a mod it doesn’t install it I’ve had to revert back to the last version sorry

Thanks a lot for the additionnal screenshot of SXOS :)
It's seems that you have a small blur area on the SMM icon (top left), is it a post editing thing or is it really how it looks on SXOS?
yes, it was look like that, no edited, just direct screenshot from album

Your overlay menu freezes the console with versions 2.0 & 2.1 you have to use 1.6.

also a tip for users when you first use this app and have setup your preset and installed a mod for the first time you have to reboot your switch similar to the themes to get it working then you can change mods or disable mods to your hearts content or another quick method just put a mod on your sd card already in sxos/titles/.. that will work the same way probably not many realise you have to do this part.

Another tip if you install a mod and exit and say go into another homebrew app or game this will break the app and mod will not work you will have restart the console to activate the mod again. You can only switch mods if you first activate a mod restart your switch use that mod come out the game switch mod asap and back into the game soon as you do something else in between it breaks the app and mod.

These instructions need posting on the opening post because when the app works it’s fantastic! but can break very easily.

Could you make it possible that the manager will save your install preset? every time you go out the manager you have to set your install preset option again when you go back in. The overlay menu saves your install preset option that works ok.

I don't have any issue with the overlay, can you send me your crash repport ?

I'm not sure I understood your point on rebooting the CFW. SimpleModManager is supposed to work without having to reboot.

Good point I agree. Will see if I got free time during this we to update the video tutorial and make a proper writen tutorial here.

Indeed, it was supposed to remember your preset while you restart ! Gonna fix that. It might be just a displaying issue since the overlay shares the same core

Just found the bug, it will be corrected in the next releases (2.0.2+) or if you don't want to wait, you can compile the head of the github repo ;).

Your probably testing with Atmosphere cfw but with sxos cfw I have to go through these steps for it to work properly. The overlay 2.0/2.1 menu freezes for me under sxos, 1.6 words ok. Also I have noticed some mods don’t work you get an error booting the game Mario Odyssey mods for example but if you put them on the sd card not using the mod the basic method only then they work ok. It would probably better for me to work alongside you testing the sxos cfw side with the application to iron out the bugs? I’m sure it works all ok with Atmosphere cfw. If you haven’t got full sxos to test with you can replicate these issues with just the basic free version using the homebrew menu nsp instead of the sxos homebrew menu. You can test the overlay menu and the manager with homebrew nsp or just hold R button to access homebrew menu on the album icon make sure you have the latest beta 3.0.3 on your sd card. I would be happy to help you out testing.

Can someone help with how to get this running using SX OS? What exact paths am I supposed to use? When I try the mod manager says there are no game folders available.

When using the overlay on 2.02, it crashes. I have to revert to 1.6 to utilize the overlay. Otherwise great program. Thank you.

It does this with me the overlay menu just freezes you have to hard reset the console is that what happens with you? 2.0.2, .2.0.1 & 2.0.0 all do it I have told him but he says it’s ok? The only one that works is 1.6.0

The new 2.0.2 mod manager now works flawless, it’s just the overlay menu that freezes now.

I was curious if this was possible or not. But is there any way to load mods for certain profiles only? For example my husband and son both play pokemon sword but only my husband wants to play a mod that makes the game harder.

I see. Are you both on SXOS ? It's actually working perfectly fine for me on Atmosphere. The best way to debug would be to go on github and create a new ticket : https://github.com/nadrino/SimpleModManager/issues. There we can discuss and try to understand where the problem is.

About games that does not boot when mods were applied, I must admit I encountered this issue when (I think) a lot
of mods are applied... It might be because of some bad IO operations on the SD card, but it's still not clear to me. Again if you can send a ticket on github!

Talking about testing on SXOS I didn't know there was a free version of it. However I'm not very confortable with the idea of working with an OS that can brick your switch for some reasons. But I guess we can still debug all your issues with the crash repports generated each time SMM crashed.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

bro @nadrino sorry for oot, did you know how, make no hud mods on botw no crash at starting game???

I have this mod myself. It works but I can't open the map, otherwise the game crashes. Here is the link of the files (and associated folder structure) : https://www.dropbox.com/s/0q85yyxcqldsx41/Clean UI.zip?dl=1. Just put the content of the archive in /mods/<your Zelda-botw folder>/.

And don't forget to remove all the remaining files in /atmosphere/contents/<Zelda-botw titleid>/ before applying "Clean UI" with SMM!

I didn't see any option on atmosphere to activate mods for specific profiles. However your husband can create a mods preset to apply all the mods he want at once. When your son wants to play, you just need to go in SMM and select "Disable All Mods".

I am using atmosphere on 10.0.4 firmware and 13 atmosphere. I'll go ahead and make a ticket on the github
