Homebrew DS Game Maker alternatives or a way to fix my issue

I just cannot get DS Game Maker to work.
So if there are any alternatives, they must fit with these requirements.
1. Good for beginers
2. Support for DS, not DSi
3. Easy sprite and input stuff.
4. Support for mp3 and midi formats.
So if there is nothing like that, then tell me how to work with DS Game Maker.
and yes, i know DS Game Maker does not use midi files, but i can convert a midi to mp3.

It needs an older devkitPro version, though.
This installs an older version, required for DSGM to compile games.

does not work, it tries to download from source forge but it does not exist there anymore

You shouldn't need to update those files at all actually (from my understanding atleast) there's a text document in there explaining it
edit: actually I see your problem now. I would just try older version of devkitpro until you find a compatible one, but @Robz8 might be able to help

yeah I misunderstood. You can still find the devkit files online I believe I'm just not sure which versions are compatible with this software

both are still being worked on, so don't expect perfection at this time.. i am working on them.

we will NOT nor ever will support anything other than DSGM software which is specifically for the DS! the fan site and website are specifically for DSGM only!

Considering i moved on and i hand code the stuff, yeah, please lock this thread, i will do a post related to a SDK for a different system in a bit though, Unity to be percise.
