Anyone have experience doing this? I'd like to be able to do it with the official data transfer utility thing, but it looks like it requires both the PS3 and Vita to be connected to PSN. I've stayed offline with my PS3 since I modded it since I didn't want a ban, but seeing as I only want to transfer saves, would it likely be safe enough to just use one of the PSN spoofing things on the PS3 for this? And if so, which program is best for that these days? (I honestly know nothing about it, if my post didn't already give that away, heh.)

If doing it that way is too risky, are there any other good 3rd party methods for swapping the saves back and forth? I'd just like to be able to play games on the go sometimes with the Vita and then use the same saves on the PS3 when at home, nothing fancier than that.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Psn spoof is irrelevant in 2020.
You don't know but you NEED latest cobra CFW and webman if you don't have.
My vita is on OFW so I can remote play. I plan to hack it with the hybrid firmware but vita hack is much more buggy than ps3.
You can also qcma with your ps3 it works very good they love each other.

Ah, so if I upgrade to the latest version of cobra, I can connect to PSN safely? I figured you still needed to use a program to spoof your version.

Thanks for the response!

You need a 4.86 to connect without spoofing (the best way!), cfw or not, cobra or not

In the case of CFW or HEN you do still need to use a cfw-disabling homebrew (such as Webman's R2+Triangle, no need to have an actual dedicated app as some seem to think) before logging in
(said feature happens to be generally included with spoofer software, but those are separate actions)

I'm familiar with ps3 saves, but not ps vita ones. however, saves (in general) should be the same on all systems aside from header or encryption. example is ps2 classics. vmc and vme are identical aside from encryption (vme)

So as long as I update to the newest cfw (not sure which Rebug I'm on; think I installed it about two years ago), I can just use the R2 + Triangle, log into PSN, and be able to use the transfer tool to transfer my saves back and forth with the Vita?

Hey guys, trying to connect my modded PS3 to my modded Vita with USB or Wifi... but as soon as I do, the PS3 kind of crashes and goes into a black screen.

Do you know what else I could try to be able to pass a game from PS3 to Vita?

first i think you should create a own thread.

anyway. which mods do you have on your PS3 and Vita? and what are you trying to do exactly ?

if you are trying to put a PS1 game, i think its best you download it to your PC then transfer it to your Vita.
