Thanks for the work guys! I was using kosmos on my 4.1 sysnand switch until recently.

Now I moved on to EmuNAND + atmosphere but I liked your work.

Instead of chainloading with hekate why not just push fusee-primary directly? The end result is the same, i personally only push hekate when i need to boot stock or backup/restore my nand.

Because much like GodMode9 (but even better), nyx has a lot of useful tools, and there is nothing that you can't boot from that menu, be it hekate, fusee-primary, sx... If you haven't paid for sxos, you're using hekate to setup your cfw, and backup your things to begin with, so the real question is, why take the time to remove it?

There's no reason for it yet. Rumour is both a toxic community, and because their Patreon was put into the N64 emulator readme to make people think they were the reason behind it leaking. A lot of people joined the server asking for leaks etc related to the N64 emulator (which Kosmos had no part in!) and started kicking up a storm when they were gagged or booted for spamming chat.

That's just an outside view of it however. I can't speak on behalf of the Kosmos team, and they haven't released a statement about it either so take it at face value.

There is also this tweet:

https://twitter.com/AtlasNX/status/1258775706177241088

Which leads me to believe it could be a way of stopping Ninty from approaching them legally (even though they are effectively being framed for something they had no part in).
Something tells me that Blawar is behind all this. He is the only suspect who has been screwing Kosmos.

More developers gone, what a wonderful scene this generation has been...
Not to mention the Wii, they were the best and I feel that it is no longer the same with Switch. I can not imagine the Scene the same as it becomes Pay to Hack

I am going to bet that it will be ReiNX. We already lost Neutos a few days ago, now kosmos. pretty soon sx os will be the last one standing.

which is EXACTLY what they want. ReiNX is no where near the same levels as the others. So if SX OS is the last one standing
(and it just happens to be one you gotta pay for) I'm sure team-xecuter would LOVE that. Wouldn't be shocked if they had something to do with all this! Now its just them and atmosphere.

yepp he never takes an opportunity to trash them. blawar and or TX... it wouldn't shock me at all. If you can get rid of all the competition , the only thing left would be a PAID solution! which would benefit them both.

ReiNX was dead before kosmos, so that doesn't even track.

It does not even serve to mention that it is strange that while one revives, another falls. There is no point in pointing out the culprits, we already know who they are, and they don't mind playing dirty.

I will only say that those who do not have respect for the honest work of others are not worth using their Software.

Sounds like you made your mind up the second you saw kosmos' announcement, you should be a judge.

ReiNX finally updated because AtMoSpHeRe now blocks some patches "like Nintendo do".

please explain to me the "levels" that you're referring to here. ReiNX 1) loads backups 2) can run homebrew; what else could you possibly want to differentiate 'levels'. i'm not too sure what mentality you got lulled into that all these extra 'features' are even useful to the end-user but they really aren't

you're kidding me right, this is some next level conspiracy theory nonsense. no one on our team cares about atlasnx/kosmos, its a glorified zip file ffs

Do just like myself: push fusee when booting cfw, push hekate when doing the other things.

When people ask if they should use fusee or hekate it's mostly users that don't use hekate features on daily basis. I'm not saying to completely DROP hekate, what i'm saying its just boot fusee on regular basis and only use hekate when you really need.

Most users here only boot emummc anyway. If you're using nyx tools/features all the time you aren't the average user in my opinion.

I'm sorry if this is a stupid question, but how are you also able to boot emuMMC with fusee primary and how do you set this up? I've followed the nh switch guide and was under the assumption that I always had to boot through hekate and select it in the options if I wanted to boot emuMMC. I do not have auto RCM enabled as I just want to start up my Switch normally most of the time, but when I want to play around with some homebrew I boot up my emuMMC in air plain mode , that's pretty much all I use it for and I have no intention to use CFW while using the internal nand.

I noticed that their name is put as the publisher. Probably why they were done for. Toxicity sucks but I hate them for giving up, either way guess I'll be looking for a new atmosphere build every so often.

The people exclaiming "thin skin" have obviously never been harassed by a colossal amount of ungrateful dickheads in the scene before.

Once you created and enabled the emummc in hekate you don't have to do anything else.

Just boot fusee-primary.bin and it will automatically boot your emummc, you can check if it's on emummc by going to your system settings and checking if it has a S or E next to the atmosphere version.

If it has an "E", it's on emummc.

Seems like all the things people care about (PegaScape, SDSetup...) are sticking around, so people largely won't notice any change. That any Kosmos-specific stuff will be removed from SDSetup is a plus in my book. Better to use a clean Hekate/Atmosphere which you understand better what goes into.

The Scene of Switch no longer makes sense, why be passing each other's CFW if Kosmos provided everything? At least, I think, the only good thing about this is that I will no longer be pending if something new comes out and I will rest (yes, users also brag about all this toxic environment), I will only use the App Store to update Homebrew.

PD: Curious that the port of Mario 64 does not work in Kosmos ...

hate them? Why don't you HATE the asshole that put their name on it? That was done on purpose. And it served the purpose. Putting their name on it, suggesting that people donate to their patreon, puts them in real-world danger of lawsuit and prison. You simply can't make money off of Nintendo's IP and come out clean.

I have 1 and only 1 name in mind of who is responsible. Sad part is, he's actually the biggest stinking pirate of them all, and deserves to be in prison. Now, on top of jacking up the scene, he's also jacking up people's lives. This is NOT a game.

I need to move on from Kosmos myself now.

Is there a reason to use Atmosphere/Fusee primary instead of chainloading Hekate? Wouldn’t using Hekate give you more options?

Sorry, I do have the latest Hekate on my SD card (mainly to create or migrate emuMMC, change AutoRMC, etc) then I just use the Fusee payload to boot into Atmosphere.

I have no Hekate patches in Atmosphere (although I don't see a problem having it), Hekate payload is only used if I ever want to go into non CFW sysMMC.

I'll check to see if the latest Hekate with patches still gives me problems with Tinfoil, since moving from Kosmos all my sysmodules work as intended.

Edit: Just checked booting with Hekate, Tinfoil sees it as Kosmos.

I really don't see a a point in booting with Hekate unless you really care about the 3 seconds it shaves of booting into Atmosphere.

Game (Doom 2016) loading times were the same for both. Tinfoil does not give you a message with Fusee and who know which files it changes in order to uninstall it's claim on Hetake offending files.

I never boot with Hetake anymore, it's more of utility for ease of SD setup there days than a payloader to boot into Atmosphere.

Even my Lanuch icon(s) in Hetake are configured to chainload Fusee emuMMC and Stock sysMMC (removed CFW sysMMC) but that's not the method I use to boot.

I have Fusee on my RCMLoader as the first payload and Hetake as my second payload if I ever want to boot into sysMMC or configure something in Hetake.
