You can't install nsp update using choidujournx
Maybe using an nsp installer like tinfoil or goldleaf

If you absolutly want to use choidujournx, you have to search nca file on google
Sx site or darth site

I can't give you a link, it is not allowed

Running 8.1.0 trying to update to 9.1.0 using choiDujournx but the firmware does not appear as a nca it shows with a zero on file. Using SX Pro 2.9.2 any help?

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Extract the firmware (zip) into a folder then access the folder (bunch of files) in the app.

Figured out the issue was with Mac you got to run following sudo chflags -R arch /Volumes/NAME OF SD/Firmware9.1.0

Firmware installed succesffuly it had autoRCM enabled. When it reboot i got a blank screen.

I connected SX Pro and disabled AutoRCM and could get into OFW, however I am unable to load CFW, when i go into SX Pro OS and select Custom Firmware it loads blank screen.

Any solution on this?

Not sure on how to operate in SX OS but that seems to be the time to inject your payload.

I know this is such a noob question but I never dealt with this but what is "archive bits" and what do the fix in hekate do?
It’s just a file attribute, In Windows it’s used for identifying if a file should be backed up whenever it’s changed or something like that (and it can be set/unset by checking/unchecking the “ready for archiving” option in the properties of a file)
On Switch, FS has this thing where if you name a bunch of split parts of a file “00”, “01”, etc and throw them in a folder then set the archive bit on them (or the folder, don’t remember which) it’ll treat those split files as a single file with the file name being the name of the folder they’re in. It can cause some fucky stuff to happen though.

I managed to update to 9.1.0 with choidujournx but my issue now is when I boot to CFW nothing loads blank screen. I can access OFW through SX OS. I’m running SX Pro dongle on 2.9.2

Hello,
I installed the last version of kosmos nx with es / fs patches I am currently on the frimware 10.0.0.1 and I would like to go to 10.0.0.2 in order to correct the pad problems. when I launch the intalization of the latest ChoiDuJour nx firmware hangs at step 1/6 "Testing for BIS protection.
I wanted downgrade to 9.2.0 same problem.
Can you help me please.

So I fixed the initial issue, problem was with SX2.9.5 boot.dat, I placed boot.dat 2.9.2 and it loads the CFW.

Ive never used archive with hekate and files larger than 4GB have worked perfectly fine previously.

My issue just gets worse, non of the backup Gs work errors like 2002-3999 appear now. I have ran my emunand 8.1.0 to start again but still get get backup Gs to work without crashing on me. I formatted the SD card also before putting emunand back on.

I thought PS4/5 and Xbox One emulation would be kind of easy since they basically just a PC

    they sorta are a pc

They haslve dedicated on board chips that aren't tweaked like x64/x32 afaik
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
but its a custom os for both of them

    designed for only specific hardware
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
so you have to learn to emulate that specific hardware which isn't as easy as you'd think

It's a locked down Linux distro basically
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think the only custom hardware is to do with the SSD and a security chip
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    Probably combined in one chip
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
They place married security chips onto boards iirc

Didn't see much need for a console, all the advantages have kind of disappeared
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
the ps3 used to support installing linux because the cpu was so powerful

Then the games are $70 and they want to reboot and refresh the same game every year
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
The ps3 was always Linux they just found a way to make it open source

I'm avoiding buying from the big 3 at all atm

At one point PC game pads where poorly supported, loading a game had setup, it was complicated. Now it's almost as easy as a console.
