It's not a "glitch", you just haven't imported him correctly. To get the proper exterior and interior, loading both the villager and house is your best bet. There's a guide for you to follow, as well as both files you would need for this provided here.was hoping to see more neighbor editing, but its been slow, but i tried something in my game where a neighbor moved out and one was moving in. i checked to see who it was in the save editor, more so to see if they actually showed up before moving in. it did show so i changed it to be Raymond(wanted to see what the fuss was about, he looks cool i guess). upon him moving in he has a stage themed house with a piano, but checking some sources i can see he is supposed to have an office themed house. when i checked the neighbor i replaced, Lucy, she would have had a house identical to another neighbor i already have. is this a glitch due to editing them or can neighbors have different house styles?
thanks! i didnt know if there would be a database already so i didnt think to look. It's not a "glitch", you just haven't imported him correctly. Star level is determined by your island's layout and is most likely determined on load and not something that can be set with a flag. Was wondering if it's been mentioned how to use the save editor to edit the star level of your village? I just want to grab terraforming without time traveling for it.
Try time traveling a day in the future. I've never had any issues importing villagers even before this guide, though, so I can't help much outside that.@h448 so Raymond's furniture and house are normal, but his wallpaper and flooring are still stuck. whats that fix for that?
ok, will report back soon as i can.Try time traveling a day in the future. I've never had any issues importing villagers even before this guide, though, so I can't help much outside that.
Try overwriting his slot with empty.nhv, load the game, save in-game, re-export the save, and then follow the guide a second time.@h448 well so much for that. he really didnt want to be home so that took way longer than it should have to check. still messed up, if only i could edit his wallpaper and floor...
Do you have the actual Edison overlay file on your switch?Im still having the issue where i cant use my hacks with edizon - theyre there but theyre not working when i enable them. i stated before that i am the resident rep and i used all accounts. the hacks dont work even after i deleted my save file and restarted. anyone know how i can fix this?
This is a purposeful in game mechanic. No flag. The first 5 villagers have different house data and furniture data loaded. You would need to replace the villager and house with dumped copies to overwrite it.Anyone notice that the default villagers won't ever upgrade their houses after moving from their tents? They'll have generic looking houses and furnitures vs the invited villagers.
Anyone familiar if these are flags that can be changed in NHSE so that default villagers will have better houses and furnitures?
They've added the empty.nhv file you're looking for in the zip file that's attached to the first post.@h448 i tried something different since i dont have an empty.nhv nor do i know how to get one so i hope you can tell me.
i was trying something else first and i end up with a the wrong walls and floors again. :S
