So I've perused the forums here on gbatemp for a little while, but i made an account to ask a question

So I hacked my switch (as one does) but was a complete idiot and got console banned. Can I buy another switch to keep stock, and still keep my hacked switch? Will Nintendo giga screw me and ban the new switch as well? just making sure before I spend hundreds.

So I followed the NH Switch Guide and everything seems to have worked out fine. If I want to play a game online now do I play it in emuNAND or reboot the switch to play it in sysNAND?

You play in the partition that does not use CFW or homebrew.

It needs to be an unpatched console which is determined by the serial number. Consult this thread for a list

OK thinking of buying a switch tablet with sx os, guy says the tablet has firmware but it hasto be injected via PC?. What does that mean?. ALso I thought SX OS you needed a dongle?

In order to load any CFW on the Switch, a payload must be sent via USB connection. This is typically done with a computer. The dongle can act as a substitute but is not a requirement for any CFW.

They will not ban your second Switch.

I thought during the process of homebrew installation that it made a NAND backup automatically and just realized now that it did not. I've done some tinkering in emunand with just homebrew (nothing illegal) and done nothing homebrew related in sysnand. If I do a NAND backup now and later somehow accidentally do something on sysnand that gets me banned, will a nand backup actually help or am I fucked for not doing the nand backup right away?

If you never booted to SysNAND with CFW, you're fine. Your backup should still be clean. A NAND backup doesn't help you if you're banned. It's for fixing a brick.

I recently got Atmosphere running on my Switch and am now running some games installed from NSP files. Some of them pop up a window saying there is a game update available (but I can still bypass that and run the game). Is it safe to install those updates?

Hello, the sigpatched are only compatible with kosmos?. I dont used ir. Im only install bootloader AND atmosphere. Thanks

Nevermind. I just did a factory reset and got it working again. Sucks i have to reinstall everything but i at least was able to backup my saves.

So i just had to do a factory reset to fix a issue i had which means i have to reinstall everything. What is the best way to do multiple nsp installs at once via usb (both games and updates) on 9.1.0? Im currently using the latest tinfoil with nut server. And while usb install does work there doesn't seem to be a way to do batch uploads.

I also tried awoo installer and while i can get it working via network for some reason it doesn't work with usb. Says no connection (which is weird cause like i said i do have usb working with tinfoil) And network installer is kinda slow

In the eyes of our Lord Nintendo, the moment you hacked your switch you are banable.
The term you are looking for is Dump. You need to dump the carts to .xci so you can load them from SD.
Just because you own the games doesn't prevent a ban. Just stay offline, 100% of the time.

So as soon as you mod the Switch, you’re at risk? Mine has the bootROM exploit. Can I run it hacked offline, and then reboot and be online and be fine?

Upgrading my SD card? I currently have a 64gb card, and it is just not enough for me, so I got a 256gb card. Can I just copy everything over to the new card, or will I need to go through the whole process over again? I am using emuemmc.

I did this several times while installing everything (moving from exFAT to FAT32 and back). Every time I would just copy all files in the SD card to my (Linux) laptop, format the card, and copy the files back. Never had a problem with that process.

Anyway, the system reset itself while updating and now I can't load my cfw. I added a new boot file and deleted my Nintendo and switch folders replacing them from the backups I had on my HD. Can I please get help. Don't know what I did and if it's fixable. I can get the system to go in rcm mode and load the sx menu screen by plugging it in and with holding down the + volume. I don't remember which kind of backup I have would it be possible for me to restore my Switch and get my sx cfw back?

Exactly as you described. You can download updates and install them the same exact way as you would a full game. The process is no different.

I have emummc atmosphere 10.2 on latest firmware. Whenever I open album to access homebrew menu the system crashes. I figured out it happens when I enable sysclk and I'm in a game. If I close the game or if I disable sysclk it won't crash . Can someone help me fix this?
