Final Fantasy VII Remake shows off its opening cinematic

The wait continues, for the Final Fantasy VII Remake, following the game's slight delay to April. If you weren't already anticipating the remake heavily enough, Square Enix has uploaded the game's opening cinematic movie, to get fans even more excited for the return to Midgar. Final Fantasy VII Remake will finally release, after years of hype and development, on April 10, 2020, as a timed exclusive for the PlayStation 4.

i mean its only the first part of the game, so you will have to wait much more to finish the game lol i dont see anyone putting 54 hours on disc one.

I'm on level 68. I checked right before I posted that message. disc 1 is pretty lengthy, but disc 2 and 3 not really.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

if you know what to do or where to go, the game is more like 30-35 hours max.

edit: I think final fantasy ix is around the 50 hour mark. I'd have to check for sure, but I know it's noticeably longer.

I technically haven't beaten the final dungeon yet, so that might be another hour or so. the game seemed longer than what it shows on the in game clock.

I got lost pretty bad at one point, so with knowing where to go, it should be shorter. I got lost with that luma harp. I was thinking the keycard I got in the junkyard of bone village meant something was in midgar. I wandered around there for quite some time.

I hated that part.
you have to do it at a point late in the game. I didn't realize you could buy more soldiers during the battle, so I nearly lost

but if you lost I think it wasn't game over you get sent to beat the condor bird at the top

iirc, if the commander makes his way to the base, you have to fight him. that happened when I first got there. I never lost on him though. it's just a simple mini game until you get near the end of the game. I think you have to do it to get a big materia

@DANTENDO , my activity log says I've been playing final fantasy vii for 45 hours, so the in game time might be slightly off. I died a few times, but nothing major. heh

edit:
there's an underwater sub optional stage that has some brutal enemies. I know I died there several times

Perfect time to replay the original.

*edit* and time to practice speed run stuff. The guard skip was pretty easy. Got to do it more than once, since I wanted to see the church glitch. Works fine on the switch version.

the one on the switch looks quite nice, though still a little blocky. I tried playing the game on my unhacked psx classic, and it looks awful on there. all of the final fantasy games seem to be remastered on switch, and they do look nice. I might start back up with final fantasy x. I'm about 3 or 4 hours in.
