Final Fantasy VII Remake shows off its opening cinematic

The wait continues, for the Final Fantasy VII Remake, following the game's slight delay to April. If you weren't already anticipating the remake heavily enough, Square Enix has uploaded the game's opening cinematic movie, to get fans even more excited for the return to Midgar. Final Fantasy VII Remake will finally release, after years of hype and development, on April 10, 2020, as a timed exclusive for the PlayStation 4.

Aeris' hair defies gravity, and the characters look like they came of directly from Advent Children. It doesn't look that bad. But Barret's voice sounded weird.

SE delayed the game to edit the opening cinematic?

It was cool hearing the one winged angel in different versions.

Then play with Japanese audio as all jRPGs should be. :)

It depends. Some dubs aren't all bad. The Tales series seems to do mostly well IMO.

i can see a massive boycott if they do, so I doubt they won't especially since we waited how many years?

We all know how game "boycotts" turn out though. They only seem to work when the game itself is a total flop.

Seeing that big city again, those boys riding bikes and playing football, all feels very nostalgic and reminds me of childhood :(

The opening is way too long. It needs to be skippable or shortened. Let us get on with the game and play!

Yeah , this game isn't for those of you Fortnite, CoD ...etc millennials with A.D.D.

if that's how you're going to approach this, don't bother playing. Just stick to one of your 47,569,012 run of the mill shooters.

That’s like telling a Japanese person to play all western games in English when they can’t understand what the hell is being said in the games original audio.
No, it's like saying "Play games with audio of studio National language". And I don't expect English native speakers to understand that users of other language preferences are different: dub in their language (if it's good quality) > original audio > dub in their language (bad quality) > English dub

That's why playing Metro for Europeans with English dub is awkward... Except for Brits. :D

I think I’ll hold out for an 8k remake. Not that port, or this remake, but a new 8k remake with 8k. In the end, I’ll end up buying all three and comparing them to no end and probably not finish any of them.......until there is another remake/port/rerelease in 10 years.

on a more serious note, if you haven’t played this game, DO IT! It’s so rewarding.

Tales of Symphonia Dawn of the New World had horrendous English dubbing, hate to say it.
