"Here is what I did and it worked:
1. My "BCT.ini" file:

Booting a higher firmware with lower fuses enables nogc by default to avoid updating cartridge slot firmware.
Booting a lower firmware with 9.0+ fuses does the same, as having a cartridge inserted with 9.0+ game cart firmware, and lower main firmware, will crash the Switch.

That would be the easiest if he's using the fss0 (what Kosmos uses) boot method rather than fusee-primary.

Won't work if you're using fss0=atmosphere\fusee-secondary.bin in hekate_ipl.ini though. In that case you have to disable it in Hekate itself.

Which system version are you on with the NAND you are trying to use with cartridge games?

Are you using fusee-primary to launch Atmosphere?

i've had similar problem using fusee too...for some reason my BCT file reset everytime i rebooted so that my nogc = 0 line disappeared... So i just tried setting BCT read-only after adding nogc and it did the trick, i was able to play my cartridges on the next boot.

And also make sure to get rid of the old BCT (if you have it in /atmosphere) cause in latest atmos it is in /atmosphere/configs now, but i don't really know if it matters, just in case.
