Hacking Play Nintendo DS games on 3DS Flashcard?

Hello,

I use an Nintendo 2DS with an R4i Gold Flashcard.

My flashcard has got two different modes. One for DS and one for 3DS games.

Is it possible to play (install) DS games even though using 3DS mode?

It is way to boring to open the flashcard and switch to DS mode.

That's not what "3DS mode" on a dual nand DS flashcard does... you're not using ntrboot to run cfw directly, aren't you? (just follow Plailect's guide, ntrboot method, to install B9S if you are and stop having to flick it "all the time")

It's not a 3DS flashcard either (only the Sky series and the Stargate are), but an unmodified-3DS-compatible DS flashcard

What is that flashcard? Never heard of it.
Your flashcard probably just has the ntrboot mode. I doubt it can actually play 3ds games.

It is a R4i Gold 3DS RTS Plus with pre-flashed ntrboot.

I can play 3DS roms on it and if I switch to DS mode also DS roms.

What I mean is, the member shadow#1 always (for years on this site) leaves really abrupt 1 word responses. There's nothing wrong with your thread, it's his responses I find amusing

It certainly doesn't run 3DS roms - only the Stargate can be used as both 3DS flashcard and an ntrboot card

Yea it's the sad truth what the flashcart market has done this put the words "3DS" in the flashcarts name and idiots that don't do any research like so think they run 3DS roms

Can you tell me why I then was able to play Mario Party Top 100, which is definitiely a 3DS Game?

You most likely installed and ran it from the console's SD, meaning the flashcard was not implied at all in its operation but rather were you using a CFW (which an ntrboot flashcard can certainly help you install) (very simple test: start that game then remove the flashcard while it's running)

If you go onto absolutely any website that sells the flashcard you have they all have this message clearly on the site

NOTE: This flashcard Does not play Nintendo 3DS Games,

As others have already stated here only the stargate card can play ds/3ds games on the one card.

I'm not that deep into this kind of topics.

I think it is as you have written. I think it was a .cia that I created and then installes on the consoles sd.

Now I am searching for a possibility to do this with NDS games
