More Info Regarding Switch (Mariko/Lite) Mods by Team-Xecuter

ub3r1337's first impressions from a direct demo of TX upcoming new hardware mods!
SXMODS.png

ub3r1337 recently meet with TX to have them demo to him their upcoming new mods for the Switch (patched, mariko and lite). Unfortunately, he didn't get any pictures, but he says they'll be coming later on. Even so, he shared some of this new information at MaxConsole, also shown below:
First Off: It is a hardware mod. TX went back to its roots, and this solution is a device you need to install inside your Switch. :)

From what we could tell the install looks ultra simple and almost plug and play. When pushed about the install requirements, TX held back from claiming its fully solder-less, stating clearly that this particular design will always benefit from a few simple solder connections, versus the original intent of fully solder-less (at least for the classic model which is the unit we got to inspect).

In other words, a fully solder-less install is potentially possible with the classic models however it is not recommended by TX due to long term reliability concerns (we will cover this more in-depth at a later date, once we have our preview unit in our hands and put it thru some tests)

Second Point: There is one device for Patched and Mariko unit which is probably under production (see point three) and should be available soon :) They plan to release 2 devices; one for all classic versions (original, patch and mariko) and one for the Switch Lite.

Third Point: I really pushed for a release date, but TX refused to confirm anything during our meeting. From what I understood, even though it seems to be currently under production, because all sorts of things can occur in the factory during production, they will not commit to a date to me or their resellers until they are certain they can deliver on time enough stock to meet the demand.

I guess I can only respect that, this is probably why they did not announce anything yet, and we should know more once it is finally officially announced on their TX website.
At some point ub3r1337 hopes to get some pictures and videos from TX and a review unit, but we have no clue when that will happen. For now we just have to sit and wait for some more news regarding these new TX hardware mods to appear online!

The original chip was supposed to be a mod chip too (unknown if it was solderless), but than the rcm exploit came out and the dongle came out instead.

I absolutely love all the conspiracy theorists in here. You guys are stuck so hard in denial that TX has this solution that you MUST come up with excuses and dissect every news release by people who are NOT TX to prove any negative point you can possibly come up with against TX.

It's comical really.

The method does exist.

This is a real product.

If you don't like it, then go cry "fake" and "demand proof" all you want. When the product is ready, it will get an official announcement and all the details will be given to the public.

Then at that point, all of you can dig deeper into your conspiracy theories and come up with more negative remarks to deface Team Xecuter. It doesn't really matter what you guys say at this point. It will be released when it's ready. Just have some patience and you will see.

What? no! You're a troll. This isn't your exploit, you never found one. Also, this is a modchip, not the mess that was your exploit. It was first an RCM exploit, then a save exploit, but this is a modchip.
Stop already.

No you see like a kebab, k3b4b cfw has many layers, is confusing and changes!

i had a feeling it was hardware mod & this is what i said on the announcement thread:

this will probably require soldering some sort of chip,TX are best known for hardware solutions not software (they copy this from others)

So the question is that should be asked if it already hasn’t been is will the Switch be able to be turned on and off and still have CFW on it?

Its a damn hardmod. Not a RCM exploit. I dont want that shit in my switch

Don't buy it then?

I don't personally have any opinion on the matter.

Except you said that clones will be good for people who don't support TX and their practices. I assume talking about the "stolen" open source code that they didn't give credit for or release their code.....

If it's for booting CFW it's probably a glitch chip, if that's the case you'll probably see hundreds of clones in no time. Good for those that don't support TX and/or their practices.

I would be very happy and contented for the time being if TX fixed the linked Nintendo Account issue on two Switch’s and released a new revision of sxos so at the least I can use my legit xci backups again online! Is that too much to ask? Because it’s becoming very annoying.. and I know lots of others are in the same situation there Switch’s are just redundant. There is no way around the issue especially if you have a live Nintendo online subscription & lots of paid eshop titles so you’re not going to setup a new account just to fix the issue.

Boot to OFW and play your cart in the meantime? Unless you're a "hold my 6.x FW for some coldboot option" that might never come....If you're playing online already with CFW then booting to OFW and playing online shouldn't be an issue either....

I cant remember a time when Garyopa has EVER posted false info. And i also cant think of a single time that TX has lied about having a exploit. Almost 18 years of pure truth :)
Yeah exactly. A little respect wouldn’t go amiss around here.

Don't know why you're trying to start an argument.

I literally stated "people" as in people that hold those opinions, never stated that I feel that way so maybe try and pick a fight with someone else. I wouldn't be stupid enough to talk about my opinions on TX on this forum because it's pointless, 9 times out of 10 it's cancerous and it's an incredibly polarizing topic.

You're right. Sorry for assuming. Just gets heated when it comes to TX cause almost everyone just shits on them not matter what. As for the other part. Wasn't meant for you and I was just giving the user a suggestion until TX fixes it.

No problem, I appreciate you apologizing most people wouldn't do that.

I wonder how they're going to handle the security of it. How pissed would everyone if they covered it in the same stuff xbox covered their chips in to combat tx?

Do u believe me now?
Not sure if trolling or conspiracy theorist.......

The person claiming they sold the exploit to TX last week was just being a troll looking for attention kind of like a child would do.

Well, thanks for the confirmation, but this user's post history was a dead giveaway that he was, in fact, full of shit.
