Hi, so ever since i updated atmosphere to the latest version, i cannot install the vast majority of NSPs. I get something like this "missing NCA files, your firmware is too low or no sigpatches"

Im on firmware 8.0.1 trying to install older games, so its not a firmware issue im sure.

The few games i managed to install work just fine. So im at a loss of what the problem could be.

I am using album, because the game menu override does not seem to work. Holding R and selecting a game only launches the game.

Redo your setup for Atmosphere by wiping your SD card clean (after backing up the Nintendo folder as well as any game mods).

Ok so I found the option to install via usb in gold leaf but it says not connected to pc ?

I did have it connected to another pc at one point it tried to install nintendo pc driver (though sure already had due to rcm) .
Could it just be due to the cables being on the cheap side or do I need to install an app on pc for it to conenct to ?
I was dumping my Xenoblade 2 but I only have like 2 gbs free after so I can't install to sd with the dlc I have.
I'm just going to install to the switch storage for now until i get a bigger sd card.

You need to use Quark on your computer to install .NSP files via USB.

I have a question I hope someone can help here.
I was a 64 GB sd card with reinx. I bought a 256 GB card and I installed atmosphere 9.4 on that and want to boot with it. I able boot with hekate. My problem is that using gold leaf 7.3 which cannot connect with USB to Mac. So I wanted to go back reinx. When I change back the card to reinx installed and I start th console in ram mode its says:
Welcome to Athmsphere Fusee!
ERROR fatal error : failed to stat stage 2 )atmosphere fusee secondary bin.
Press power to reboot.

What should I do to go back to reinx?

Delete the sept folder on your SD card. This one is from Atmosphere.

When I first hacked my Switch I used two screwdrivers to enter RCM mode. I then proceeded to enable AutoRCM on ReiNX. If I switched to either SX OS or Atmosphere will I have to re-enable AutoRCM or will it stay on? I'd rather not prefer using that ghetto method too much.

You don't need any additional component to enter RCM mode if it is in RCM Mode.

AutoRCM is not tied to CFW. It is tied to your console. More specifically, its a modification that "bricks" your console so it AUTOmatically enters RCM without respect to CFW.

I downloaded quark but it never has the small usb icon it talks about in the usb fail dialog. Could it be the newer version of gold leaf not picking up the usb connection?

I saw some mention using older version of gold leaf and Quark.

Same thing happened to me. I was getting ready to update my switch 7.0.1 -> 9.0.1 so I updated Hekate and Atmosphere (0.9.3 -> 0.9.4) and then I was prompted with the same message as you trying to install a game that had previously been working. I also couldn’t open my installed games, getting a message saying the sd card was corrupted. I then restored my sd card from a backup and was still getting these messages. But after a couple crashes everything was working again and I could install the game and I could open games again.

I’m stuck on atmosphere 0.9.3 and 7.0.1 and I’m looking for a clean way to update to the latest FW to play new releases.

Edit: NVM I updated the emunand not sysnand. Fixed.

I updated my Switch firmware to 9.0.1 with ChoiDujourNX but the main firmware on the Switch itself is still 8.0.1. How would I update the main firmware on the Switch? I wanted to connect to online services to download stuff on the stock firmware. Would I just do that?

Atmosphere is a CFW while Hekate is a payload/bootloader. Only payloads go on dongles such as Hekate. CFW can only go on the SD card but payloads can also be there.

Sounds like the previous owner installed Incognito which removes the PRODINFO from the console. You will need to obtain that from the previous owner otherwise you are effectively banned. You cannot regenerate PRODINFO as it is console-unique.

The seller is not cooperating even though he said he has that file. He might be lying.

Here's the thing, I plan to hack it anyway. Will I have any trouble playing games or hacking it without a PRODINFO?

Can you please tell me what steps I should take? I see lots of different guides online with different configuration. It's confusing. Thanks.

Hey all, tried installing Luigi's Mansion 3 .xci and now the tile for it is just a blank square and won't let me even go to options to delete it. How can I delete it and then install it correctly? I installed it with both zerotwoxci and lithium.

Edit: I guess maybe based on research I shouldn't have installed the update file. Any way to undo that?

Personally, I never use Goldleaf to install any of .NSP files. I always use Adubbz Tinfoil and Aluminum Foil

You can use the local save data transfer feature.

Without PRODINFO, you cannot play online, use the eShop, or update your console/games. But all CFW and homebrew as well as offline games will work just fine.

Use the homebrew application ChoiDujourNX to update your firmware without burning fuses.

Go to Data Management to uninstall it or press (+) on the icon in the Home Screen.

Hi all,

I'm new here and I don't know what to do.

I have my EmuMMC upgraded to Firmware 9.0.1
and installed the latest Kosmos/sigpatches.

Unfortunately I can't play all my nsp/xci games. When I install it with Goldleaf (0.7.3) it works,
but when I click on the software it says "Could not start the software. Please try again from the HOME menu".
Before the upgrade FW 8.1.0 and atmosphere 0.9.4. Everything works fine.

I already format my SD card and put a clean atmosphere/sig patches/hekate/kosmos etc.
But unfortunately it is still not working.

Normaly I install the nsp/xci by Tinfoil. But Tinfoil (5.1.0) don't work for now.

Hopefully someone could help me.

If you're already using Airplane Mode, you don't need any additional protection. If you're super paranoid, you can setup 90DNS on your Switch's internet settings.

Assuming the save file hasn't been modified (or a copy of someone else's), the risk of a ban is little to none.

.NSP files are smaller and faster than .XCI files but require installation before they can be used whereas .XCI files can be mounted without any installation. All CFW support .NSP files however SX OS is the only CFW to support mounting .XCI files. Other CFW support installing .XCI files but this has a similar effect to installing a .NSP file.

Nintendo has more details on that error code.

If it is patched, then it is your hardware that is patched. For patched consoles, the software version is important. If the firmware is 4.1 or lower, it can run CFW now. If the firmware is between 5.0 and 7.0.1, it can run CFW in the future but there is no telling when. If the firmware is 8.0 or higher, then it may never run CFW.

You do risk a ban by going online to update your firmware. If you do not want to go online to update your firmware, use the homebrew application ChoiDujourNX

Now I see the issue. If it is only the newer games that do not work, then that means your firmware version is too low. You will have to update your firmware. I recommend using ChoiDujourNX to update your firmware.

I’m in the same boat and need to update my firmware, I’m running SX OS. Can I remove my SD card and boot into normal firmware and update that way or do I have to use ChoiDujourNX within CFW?

Hello everyone! I hacked my switch about 1.5 weeks ago, so my knowledge is pretty limited. I have two questions:

1: I am using a 64gb card, but plan on buying a 128gb one. Can I just copy and paste the contents from the one I am using to the new one?

2: Does restarting the console make you leave cfw? Because to change the system language I need to restart it, and I lost my jig.
