I'm going go out on a limb here that you got a crappy pirated CIA copy of the 1.1.7 update from one of those juegoes sites. You should probably look elsewhere if you can't or won't get download a personal legit copy of that update.
But still, if I got a pirated CIA of the update, and I deleted it from the System settings data management, I should still be able to access the eshop and download a legit update once I reinstall the game CIA from the warez site, right?

Deleting the pirated update in Data Management doesn't delete its fake ticket.

If you present a fake ticket to Nintendo, downloading the update in eShop will get stuck and downloading the update from HOME Menu title launch will present error code 009-2920.

Oh ok. So should I download the pirated update cia and install it after this post:

Don't delete the update title labelled as "?" from the Data Management as that has a high chance of corrupting the 3DS database.

Keep a set copy of the SD card's title.db and import.db before doing the following.
  1. FBI → Titles → Super Smash Bros. (CTR-U-AXCE) -or- 0004000E000EDF00 → Delete Title And Ticket.
    • You need to delete the fake ticket if you installed a pirated copy of the update.
  2. Download a legit copy of the game's update from Nintendo eShop or HOME Menu.

Or should I follow it and then download the legit update from eshop?

Delete the fake ticket in FBI. For USA region, the super smash update has the title id 0004000E000EDF00. If you already uninstalled the pirated update CIA but not its ticket, you can delete its leftover fake ticket found under Tickets.

At HOME Menu, your Super Smash should mention there is an update available. Launch the game and press (Y) or click on the appropriate touchscreen box to update.

***

Because I have Super Smash Bros in one of my many Nintendo 3DS folders, I went ahead and delete its update title + ticket and redownloaded that update through HOME Menu. It went without a problem.

Seems like I can't update the game via the Home menu because I don't have the latest 3DS firmware. Even if I'm using Luma3DS, can I update the 3DS firmware from system settings? And do I need to have the latest version of Luma3DS to do this?

You can update the 3DS firmware to 11.10.0-43U if you have Luma3DS v9.1 or newer. The worst that can happen is you get a "Failed to apply 1 FIRM patch(es)", which just means you need to update Luma3DS anyhow.

Here's what I have done so far

1. Delete the update from system settings
2. Delete the game
3. Reinstall the game pirated cia
4. Go to FBI > Tickets > 0004000E000EDF00, and delete this file.
5. Update the 3DS firmware
6. Update Super Smash For 3DS via the Home Menu

Oh and, the gray question mark still apears on data management in system settings

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

So, what should I do now?

The "circled" file on data management is the one that used to say "Super Smash Bros. For 3DS" and had a size of about 40 blocks

@TurdPooCharger , do you have any idea on what should I do now?
FBI → Titles → Super Smash Bros. (CTR-U-AXCE) -or- 0004000E000EDF00 → Delete Title And Ticket

Btw, I didn't really select "Delete Title and Ticket" since I had already deleted the game on system settings. Should I try to do this and reinstall the cia file of the game?

The block sizes are all wrong. Did you use the CTRTransfer (Type D9) - Rebuild 3DS Database: Option (A) Quick to add Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater 3D and Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer from a different Nintendo 3DS folder?

If not, whatever it is you're doing is corrupting your 3DS database again.

I hope you're not using Luma3DS v9.1 configuration with this turned on:
  • ( ) Disable ARM11 exception handlers

Ok, after doing everything I still get the error "Couldn't access to the SD card"

So, what should I do now?
  1. Delete only the Super Smash Bros game title.
    • FBI → Titles → Super Smash Bros. (CTR-P-AXCE) → Delete Title And Ticket
  2. Download the 3DS rom version of the game.
    • For information about scene releases and their leaked copies CRC32 hashes: www.3dsdb.com
    • To get a file's CRC32 hash, use WinRAR or 7-Zip.
    • You want to obtain a good rom dump as per CRC32 hash.
  3. Convert the 3DS rom to CIA using GodMode9.
  4. Install this converted CIA with FBI.
If the game still doesn't launch where Data Management still shows them as "?", you'll have to take your chances deleting them in Data Management. You might be required to rebuild the database again if they get corrupted.

Wherever your pirated CIAs are downloaded from, they're hosting shitty dumps.

No, I only used Rebuild 3DS Database: Option (B) Full. And no, I don't have that option in Luma3DS configuration turned on.

Shit. Well, the mystery continues.

And the gray question mark files can't even be deleted..
You'll probably going to have to delete those two DB files and use Option (A) Quick when rebuilding the database.

And, I don't really think I understand this CRC32 hash thing..
Hashes are the digital fingerprints of files. It's to let you know if the file you have is an intact copy.

Those archive programs have hash calculators.

A bad SD card-to-USB adapter can in fact corrupt data like what happened to ER_Mac3,

Well, that would make sense since I'm using a crappy MicroSD reader that came bundled with a cheap DS flashcart

Yah, those readers that come with the DS flashcarts are junk. I had one that came with my R4i Gold 3DS RTS die after a month's use.

Use a different SD-to-USB adapter before trying that. I would link you an online purchase but not that many eBay and aliexpress sellers ship to Venezuela.

Edit - Maybe this.

Hm... I don't know what to do then, because I know a way of getting another MicroSD to USB adapter, but it's most likely that I would get it somewhere around november...

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Although I have a PC that has an SD reader, I could use that..

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

I'll download the ROM, and try the next steps with the other PC SD card reader. Is that ok?
