Hello everyone! I am not so noob at Wii hacking, but I got a very weird error. Let me explain : I recently made an UNEEK emuNAND that I always open with Usb Loader GX (NSwitch never worked for me). I wanted to see my emuNAND channels on Usb Loader GX and then something weird happened : the banners were changed a lot - clones of banners and channels, wrong banners for VC games etc. It looked odd and I restarted my Wii. When I entered Usb Loader GX (uncheked the emuNAND channels option) all my Wii games banners were wrong! All of my games (12 in total I think) had a Pokemon Battle Revolution banner and my only GameCube game wasn't here (I checked the GameCube games option, I have Nintendont). When I tried opening a game Usb Loader GX got an "Exception DSi occured" error and then restarted my Wii. I never got this error before trying to view emuNAND channels, please help! I will post a sysCheck later if needed.

Hello.:)

At the moment it is very hard to say what is wrong or is there an issue.

A sysCheck maybe brings a little light into your issue and helps us to help you.

Please be so kind and then we see maybe clearer.

Thank you.:)

Looks good.:)

Maybe you can Update this cIOSes:

IOS245[37] (rev 21007, Info: d2x-v7alpha5): Trucha Bug, NAND Access, USB 2.0
IOS246[38] (rev 21007, Info: d2x-v7alpha5): Trucha Bug, ES Identify, NAND Access

IOS251[58] (rev 21007, Info: d2x-v7alpha5): Trucha Bug, NAND Access, USB 2.0

(I am pretty sure they have nothing to do with YOUR Issues).

Please use the Tool ModMii for the Update, there is a Download Section with the needed cIOSes and then please use a WAD Manager like WiiMOD Lite or Multi Mod Manager to install them.Thank you.:)

I am sadly no NEEK/EmuNAND User neither an Expert for it.
Here is for you an Setup Guide from our Expert @Cyan.
Please be so kind and read through it,maybe you find some hints or solutions for your Setup.

Thanks a lot! I have read about these brickers, but I am not with the Homebrew apps. I just get my Wii, GC and VC games from trusted sources. I followed Cyan' s guide when installing my emuNAND. I will tell you after installing the cIOSes if it got fixed. Thanks again! :)

It sounds like a noob question but, how do you get these cIOSes?
I have looked at ModMii's download page over 10 times, also at advanced downloads and beta d2x downloads. I see just cIOS249, cIOS250 and older cIOSes. Will d2x installer help me find them?
Also sorry for late reply, but it was night when you replied.

Hello.:)

Thank you for your reply.

You may use the GRAPHICAL Version of ModMii please switch over to the other Version.
When you look into your install Folder from ModMii,for example c:\Programs or Program Files\XFlak\ModMii you see a ModMii.exe and a ModMiiSkin.exe.Please use the ModMii.exe (run as Administrator please for Windows 7/8/10).

Please read what "the Screen says".
You are then on the Menu Page and look now under Option "4 - Download Page 4".:)

You can also use the d2x Installer,of course.
Please note, you need Internet Access on your Wii for successfully install the needed cIOSes.:)

Thank you and good Luck.:)

Thanks for the reply. Let's say in ModMii (ran as Admin) there still are just cIOS249 and cIOS250 and older. And about d2x installer, can you give me a list of the options for each cIOS? I don't want to screw my Wii, as it is the only one I have and I can't buy another one.

For your cIOSes 249 and 250 is no need to update.
You CAN if like with d2x installer, but it is no need:

d2x v8 final, base 57 OR d2x v10 r52 base 57 (they are identical!)

For the
IOS245[37] (rev 21007, Info: d2x-v7alpha5): Trucha Bug, NAND Access, USB 2.0
IOS246[38] (rev 21007, Info: d2x-v7alpha5): Trucha Bug, ES Identify, NAND Access
IOS247[53] (rev 21007, Info: d2x-v7alpha5): Trucha Bug, NAND Access, USB 2.0
IOS248[55] (rev 21007, Info: d2x-v7alpha5): Trucha Bug, NAND Access, USB 2.0
IOS251[58] (rev 21007, Info: d2x-v7alpha5): Trucha Bug, NAND Access, USB 2.0

you can "trust" ModMii´s Update option.

You can do the following steps:

- drag and drop your sysCheck.csv ON the ModMii.exe
- it opens a Windows with the Suggestions for Update (maybe all is ok)
- you can download all from the List (it goes into c:\Programs or Program Files\XFlak\ModMii\COPY_TO_SD
- in this Folder is a Sub Folder called WAD from there you get your needed cIOSes,copy it on your Wii´s SD Card (for example in a Folder "UPDATE") and install it with a WAD Manager like WiiMOD Lite or Multi Mod Manager.

If you try that Method you will see, your Softmod is Up to Date....I want to do that by yourself because a little fun is also what Softmodding/Hacking is. Sorry for that,a lttle "Joke",please be not angry on me. :)

It is no need to with the d2x installer for that.Only when you testing something or try out it is the easiest and clearest Solution.

Finally it is your choice how to manage it.

Good Luck
Thank you.:)

P.S. Please forgive me the little "jape".:)

I lost all my patience.
Every tool I try doesn't work at all.
Something happened to my ModMii, I am sure.
I can't even download anything at all with it. Isn't there a solution without updating these cIOSs? I'm frustrated and I want start playing my games again :( Can you tell me how to use d2x? I didn't used it for more than 5 years and I have forgot the configurations.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Note : Wow. I opened my Wii again. By my surprise, everything was fine. I even tried loading emuNAND channels. Loaded fast, no error, all banners were correct. It makes me confused, what caused the problems the first time? O_O

:yay:

Great to hear that.I am very happy with you.
Maybe a little "hiccup" from your Wii.
I am glad it works now for you.:)

For the d2x Installer:

AS I tell you before: easy to install cIOS 249/250 more is not really needed for gaming.:)
And of course an USBLoaderGX on the latest Version.:)

I wish you now fun agan with your Wii and happy gaming again.:yaywii:

Thanks a lot! I will tell if something strange happens again. Oh, and I think I forgot to mention every weird error USB Loader GX had happened just after I updated it to the latest version manually.

Thank you.:)

If your USBLoaderGX continues to perform strangely maybe reset the Settings or Delete the Settings File (after Back it Up).

BUT that means also you maybe have to setup your EmuNand/NEEK again too !!
If you consider this, please backup your SD Card BEFORE.

Thank you.:)
