Posting a System Check

Users can link to this guide so they don't have to write instructions on posting a SysCheck over and over. This is not a place to post your SysChecks, it's just a guide.

Creating a SysCheck.
  1. Extract the contents of SysCheckME.zip to the apps folder on your SD card or USB Hard Drive.
  2. Insert your SD card or USB Hard Drive into your Wii and turn it on.
    1. If you don't have an SD card or USB, you can still launch SysCheck as long as the Wii has WiFi. Just open SysCheck's boot.dol with ModMii (e.g. drag and drop syscheck's boot.dol onto ModMii.exe)
  3. Load the Homebrew Channel.
  4. Launch SysCheck ModMii Edition and choose to scan all IOS's.
  5. If SysCheck is stuck on one IOS for more than 5 seconds, it's frozen. Make not of the number it froze on and see Troubleshooting.
  6. Once it's done, press HOME to exit.
    1. Or Press A to upload your syscheck to the cloud. This is useful if you don't have an SD card or USB Hard Drive.
Posting your SysCheck.
  1. Turn off your Wii and put your SD card or USB Hard Drive into your computer.
  2. Open up "device:\syscheck.csv" with notepad
  3. Press Ctrl+A to select everything. Now press Ctrl+C to copy everything.
  4. Make a new post (in the appropriate thread) and create spoiler tags. Click between the "][" like so:
    SysCheckSpoilersNew.gif

  5. Press Ctrl+V to paste the contents of syscheck.csv between the spoiler tags.
  6. Save your post.
Troubleshooting
  1. Open up the SysCheck ModMii Edition meta.xml file with a text editor, preferably Notepad++ or Wordpad.
  2. Look for the "<arg>--skipIOS=0</arg>" line near the bottom of the file.
  3. Change the "0" to the IOS SysCheck HDE froze on.
  4. Save your changes and try running it again. If you are prompted about loosing format changes, save anyway.
  5. If it freezes on another IOS, duplicate the previously mentioned line in meta.xml and add the new IOS number.

@MARmaMia I see a very obvious problem. You don't have cIOSes installed, you need those for loading Wii games. Install a v8 final/beta52 cIOS with IOS 56 base to cIOS slot 249 using d2x cIOS installer.

Thanks for your answer.

Just tried again, it keeps failing... Btw, I don't have "v8 final/beta52 cIOS" in the d2x cIOS installer, only "v10 beta 52". Could this be the reason? And what about cIOS revision? The tutorial I followed said 65535.
Also, in the previous screen to that one, I select IOS 58 (I don't even have IOS 236 as it's suggested in the program itself, but I've read here that IOS 58 is fine...)

@FancyNintendoGamer567 Tried again and it fails.
With IOS 58, I was referring to the screen where d2x suggests to select IOS236, not the cIOS base. I also tried IOS 56 in this one and nothing changed.
But what about cIOS revision? Should I change it?

Modmii is expecting an English syscheck, so it's suggesting you update everything because it's not detecting the key words it's looking for.

The only one that this person (probably) needs to install to solve his issue is 249

Thank you guys for helping me, XFlak: what/how i need to update 249 ?

Together with 247/248/250 the main and important Important IOS for playing Games (in Detail:Fake signing to get the Games work) from an USB device on your Wii and most for the USBLoader GX to work correctly (in MOST of the cases,I have heard IOS58 is better/compatible.) :)

@XFlak
Stony me when I'm completely wrong.^_^

Get d2x v8-final (or v10 beta 52,not 53) installed to slot 249 with base 57.

If u go to modmii classic's download page 3 and type REC it will mark all the recommended cios' for download. Then just install using a wad manager.

If u need more detailed instructions, use the main ModMii wizard, or modmii's syscheck updater (but use it with an English syscheck log)

Hello,

@blueagent1999

Your ICOS are badly installed, you must reinstall them correctly, follow the following procedure:

Get "cios d2x installer" here ==>https://wii.guide/cios

Put "CIOS d2x installer" in your APPS on your SD, then launch the (Wii connected to the net), then put the 3 CIOS (249, 250, 251) as below:

Select cIOS: v10 beta52 d2x-v10-beta52
Select cIOS base: 57
Select cIOS slot: 249
Select cIOS version: 65535

Select cIOS: v10 beta52 d2x-v10-beta52
Select cIOS base: 56
Select cIOS slot: 250
Select cIOS version: 65535

Select cIOS: v10 beta52 d2x-v10-beta52
Select cIOS base: 58
Select cIOS slot: 251
Select cIOS version: 65535

Install Priiloader, for more security (it's a plus).==> https://wiibrew.org/wiki/Priiloader

Then reposter a new syscheck raport, for control

Then reposter a new syscheck raport, for control

i sincerely apologize to you for the terrible delay in my response.

i have successfully installed the CIOS, along with Prilloader, and attached the syscheck to this post.

but first i feel that i must apologize to you once again for having kept you waiting for so long.

PLEASE let me explain myself to you of what has transpired over the course of these several months and why i was not able to post back until now.

firstly, back in august or so i had discovered that the ethernet port of my wii had infact been broken all along, no doubt another magnificent work done by the previous owner of my wii; adding to the list of things that he has already mis-installed or broke on the wii.

anyhow, without a wired internet connection i tried to install the CIOS via wifi, after purchasing a wifi router and connecting to it using the wii, i load up D2X IOS installer, but everytime i'd always only see the following highlighted message in the (Notes) section of D2X IOS installer "OFFLINE mode: IOS57-xx-vxxxx.WAD file required. downloadable with NUSD".

no matter how many times i connect to the router with my wii, D2X installer would always give the highlighted message ""OFFLINE mode: IOS57-xx-vxxxx.WAD file required". so i went and purchased serveral different brands wifi routers one after another, including a TP-Link, LinkSYS, TOTOLINK, HUWAEI router, but D2X installer still show "OFFLINE mode: IOS57-xx-vxxxx.WAD file required" on the notes section. i tried port forwarding each of the routers painstakingly via various tools in windows as well as installing linux live CDs, looking up pages after pages of documentation as well as posts on tech support forums but to no avail. D2X installer always shows ""OFFLINE mode: IOS57-xx-vxxxx.WAD file required" no matter what i do.

eventually several months later, i gave up on installing the IOSes and moved on to installing prilloader, but i made a huge blunder of using portablizemii to install prilloader, instead of the method which you have provided. portablizemii ended up bricking my console, by overwriting my bootmii protection and installed a custom loader on my system with non-functional channels which continuously looedp my console back to its menu. none of my apps were showing up, and the apps that came with portablizemii don't work work either. my SD card was not being read, my usb drive was not detected neither. And i couldn't even get nintendont to work. everythign was broken. eventually was able to get into the homebrew channel, only to find that it was turned upside down,

i had a NAND dump of my wii so i tried to open bootmii to save my wii. my wii is an early 2008 model so i was able to install bootmii on BOOT2, but portablizemii managed to destroy that partition too; as loading bootmii would just cause the console to freeze, the tv screen to go back, with the blue light on the wii console flashing continuously to no end. since i had previously erased my SD card to install portablizemii, i had no way of saving the console, meaning that the wii was at the time, and for all consideration, completely BRICKED.

today however, by the grace of god i happen to stumble upon an old archived RAR file in my documents folder, which contained a full complete backup of the entire contents of my old wii SD card that i backed up since 2018. i had left it there after working with it and forgot to erased it. thus, using that i was able to hastily restored the contents of my old sd card and plug it into my wii, my old bootmii, which i thought was long gone, miraculously booted up once more. i was almost in tears when i realized that i had managed to un-bricked my wii using bootmii, by initiating a restore sequence to the wii's broken NAND using the good NAND backup that i had made back in 2018. the process was successful and my wii has been UN-BRICKED!

so awhile ago i decided to give D2X installer another try, and this time i STILL SEE the dreaded "OFFLINE mode: IOS57-xx-vxxxx.WAD file required". however, after all the HELL i went through, i figured out that all i had to do was press A to continue, after that the CIOS installed correctly and so did priiloader.

i was very, very upset when i found out about this, but i do not feel that it was entirely my fault because the ""OFFLINE mode" message in D2X installer was simply too misleading, and i do not understand, and cannot fathom the choice to place that message there to begin with. i bought 4 routers and spent ages trying to make it work and then had to refund each of the routers one by one, i lost some money and i felt my sanity slipping away when i spent months reading nearly a books worth of documentation and ambiguous forum posts scattered throughout the web to troubleshoot each of the routers, even learning linux commands for portforwarding. it was an absolute hellish nightmare, but regardless i was successful in getting everything together.

so here is the syscheck:

Hello ,

Your syscheck report is correct.

I see you have installed Priiloader for added security.

all you have to do is try to play.

Is your loader up to date (Wiiflow 5.4.0, usb loader gx 1272, configurable loader v70) ??

You should update the 360 to newest dash before RGHing it yes. But not a big deal if you don't, you can install new dash/avatar updates after. It's just easier to do it auto online before, instead manual offline after.

@BigOnYa I wanted to ask you about your experience with seeing south park. Most of the people a bit younger like my younger brother and cousins that are a few younger than me that saw kids found south park funny because of the curse words, kids at school, that seemed like liking the show on a very basic level.

I could not quite have a in depth discussion of the show.

How was it for you? As an adult. What did you find the most interesting part about it. Did you relate to the parents of the kids and their situations. Was it satires, the commentary on society. The references on celebrities' and pop culture.

Most of the time yea I knew, I watch and read the news regularly, but sometimes the Hollywood BS stuff, like concerning actors slip by me. I don't follow most Hollywood BS (example: the Kardasians)

@BigOnYa there were relevant issues before south park was made, that's why i think a south park prequel/spinoff would be great. Randy and his friends in their child hood

Yea, like them running in high school together, getting into stuff, and how they got hitched and had kids. And how the town of South Park was back then compared to now. That would be cool to see.

    yeah
