emuiibo - MitM'ing NFP services for Amiibo emulation

Hi everyone!

I noticed there was a project called switch-nfp-mitm, which had lots of forks, but none of them properly working (people reported it barely worked, and with some games), thus I decided to try to fix it, or to improve it as much as I could. Well, the results were that good, that I've just managed to get it working perfectly, even with a nice system of combos for Amiibo swapping, in just 2 days.

So, well, here's the result:

emuiibo

emuiibo is a virtual amiibo (amiibo emulation) system for Nintendo Switch!

It consists on a background process (and service), which intercepts Nintendo Switch's internal NFC/NFP services to support virtual amiibo emulation, plus an overlay to easily control it.

Have fun playing around with custom virtual amiibos!

Can't get it to work on BOTW

On 7.0.1 fw and ams 8.10

And choose amiswap select the amiibo I wanna use, hit home to get out, click right stick and up on dpad (pro controller) before I launch the game, blue light flashes so I know it works, go into game got amiibo on my sheikah slate, press L and nothing happens

Also on the latest 0.2.1emuiibo

If you look earlier in the thread, probably like pages 9-13 you'll see a guide on how to make it work.

Someone should probably make a compatibility chart for emuiibo. I would be I don't feel arsed to download most amiibo games.

People have reported that the pro controller doesn't work too well with it. Someone said they enable it with their regular controllers and then switches to the pro controller and it work from then on. Hope this helps!

Theoretically, this should work in the home menu, right? For testing, I've been going into system settings/amiibo/register. I get a blue light flash, but no amiibo is read.
Activate emuiibo first, then go to a place where it reads Amiibos (game or system settings).

Nope, settings is special, since it is handled by a difference service emuiibo doesn't MitM.

Nope, as you said it's their issue, just wait for them to update...
This question gets asked a lot. Maybe a FAQ on the OP will help

Amagash it worked! I've been trying to get emuiibo to work for liek a month. Finally got it to work in Mario Odyssey. I've been testing in system settings this last installation I did :rofl2:

~~Have atmosphere screen of death when I launch the channel via gallery when a game is launched (in this case, Zelda botw), so I need to close the game first then I can open the HB menu. Looks like I'm having that even when emuiibo is turned off (made sure that it was) and it still crashed so maybe it's because of the sysmodule.
After some testing, it crashes only with Zelda, I have it on an official cartridge. Looks like the module can't get both Zelda and HB menu working at the same time~~

EDIT : Forget about what I just said, it's a not bug caused by emuiibo, after some testing it looks like it's a bug caused by atmosphere itself which won't allow my cartridges games and HB menu to run at the same time.

Okay. There's also the issue of certain amiibo's not working correctly in BOTW - all Zelda and Link amiibo except Toon Link and Toon Zelda. So having Epona, certain armor sets and exclusive weapons is not possible. They all spawn fishes and generic weapons, all of them.

For now I just use the BOTW online save editor, manually adding all amiibo exclusive stuff and adding maximum durability to them. Will never breaks, hopefully. So far, it works.

Bad dumps. I got Epona and armor sets "easily".
