Not sure if you were serious about Power Stone Collection, but that already exists on PSP. PPSSPP w/ upscaling can make it look pretty good.

But if you're playing those games on the actual DC, you can play with others locally without having to resort to some networking weirdness like I've heard you can do with PPSSPP on RetroPie.

really thanks this emulator runs really well. It is a pleasure playing virtua tennis 2 and metropolis street racer on the go.
Has anyone tried any video settings to improve performance?

I've noticed that games that target at 60 fps (and the console can handle it) they run just finished, but games that target 30 fps stutter A LOT, even when the console can push more fps, do we know if this is being worked on? I've noticed the same in the Pc version.

This is normal behaviour when your device and/or screen cannot handle low refresh rates. The switch only outpout 60hz, everything below this will slutter.

But the Switch has many games running at 30fps and they don't stutter. It doesn't have to do with the Switch's screen, or it wouldn't happen while docked to a TV, it still happens. You can force 1080p30 and it will still stutter through hdmi.

It's more likely than not some interpolation issue in the video core itself.

Very likely just an imprecise video sync alg; wouldn't be surprised if it's connected to the reason the video jarringly speeds up before calming down to a consistent FPS when framerate caps are lifted/implemented. The libretro core doesn't have this issue (or at least, as much).

Thanks for the post!! Dreamcast is my favorite console.

With that said, I’m having an issue.

When I set the reicast folder and do everything as instructed, the only way I see to open Homebrew is through the album using SX-OS Pro and I can’t load games that way. How do I transfer from the album to the main menu??

The proper way is to hold R on aswitch game which will take you to hbmenu and launch Reicast from there. Someone made an nsp where you can launch Reicast directly from switch menu its somewhere during this thread many pages back but idk where.

Thanks for the reply. When I load reicast from Homebrew, which I access from the albums, I get a message saying “cannot locate folder reicast” when trying to set the games folder while in reicast.

My post showed up in your quote I was on my phone but anyway don't load through album. On any switch installed game hold R and start the game, instead of starting the game it will take you to homebrew menu, from there load Reicast.

Got it, I missed that on your first post. So I have to actually have the cartridge of a game in the Switch, load the game, then hit “R”, and it will take me to the Homebrew menu? Will have to try that tonight when I get home from work. Hope it works!!! Thanks.

It doesn't have to be a physical game it can be digital.

I've never even tried it with a physical game but if that's all you've got I guess you could try it.

Don't hit R hold R while you launch the game until it goes to homebrew.

Ok so I got it to load Homebrew by holding R, then loaded Reicast, and am having the same issues. See picture below when I tried to set directory for games:
