Yes, you have to manually put games on your sd card and use one of homebrew title installers.

You can do whatever you want, except online. SMO does not need online.

The latest firmware is 8.0.1, not 8.2.0. And yes, you can hack it. Regarding your second question, I'm not sure why you think that. You can use your Switch as you want, hacked or not.

There is no way to avoid ban (maybe there is, but not shared to everyone) so keep that on mind, if you hack it you will get banned

This isn't 100% true, I've been modded since SX came out almost a year ago, I'm still not banned.
