Hi there, 2 questions.

- If I get my switch banned (not yet luckily) can I still updating the console? (I mean officially, not with rabbit)

- If I upgrade only emunand to 8.0 and hold sysnand to 7.0.1. If I boot OFW from any reason, will I get any problem? or sysnand just still running work version fine?

Thanks in advance.

with ChoidujourNX yes, through system update no.

The NAND is separated, currently SX OS doesn't support 8.0.0, you just gonna get a black screen. Sysnand would just be fine.

Thanks in advance.

Yeah, I mean when they update (if they do) the SX FW. So If I only update emunand, sysnand will be fine at a lower version?

Yea it is separated when Emunand is first created.

so in lamens terms if you set up an emunand you can put that online and if you get banned you are still okay with updating the SYSNAND via nintendo udate servers to get the current OFW on your console :D

turns out that my issue with my "dead switch" was actually the DONGLE being too low - LOL not the switch i simply had to charge that thing for 10 secondsa nd my problems were gone. amazing! yessssssss

I ordered an XKIT RCM Loader and should be getting it on Monday. So Im trying to figure out whats the best way to set everything up and which cfw I should use.
I know that it comes with built in Atmosphere, ReiNX and SXOS payload files (of course will need to be updated)

I'm kind of interested in the SXOS. I like the fact that you can play games off of a USB drive. My micoSD card is only 32GB so a bigger HD would probably be better so I didnt have to keep moving games on and off the sd card.

Is there any other CFW other then SXOS that can play off USB drive? I like that feature but don't really want to spend another $40 on the SXOS OS licence.

Only SX OS supports usb for now but Atmosphere is working on it.

Thanks, I managed to get into Atmosphere.

Does anyone know if there's a problem launching NSP's from atmosphere on the latest switch firmware? I'm getting a message saying 'checking whether this game can be played' and it then prompts me to connect to the internet.
Your patches most likely don't support firmware 8.X. Grab the latest patches from here

Have a SX OS on 2.6.1 firmware 7.0.1 emunand. I keep getting error messages when installing NSP from USB. Any common fixes?
Maybe try installing another application such as Tinfoil by Adubbz or Goldleaf? You can use Aluminum Foil and Fluffy respectively.

Playing XCI over USB on SX OS does usb stick speed affect loading times and performance?
Yes, .XCI files are the slowest off of a USB device.

I have a problem.

I get a switch from my friend.

He has 7.0.1 and use atmosphere with auto rcm.

He cant play games with catridge and dumps. The catridge freeze or get an error.
The dumps are blackscreen but you cant back in the home menu.

I try brickmii to count the fuse. They say 9 fuses (raw value 0x000001ff)

How can i fix them?

I've got a switch on 6.x firmware with SX OS installed and with Auto RCM enabled, I want to put Retroarch on my SD card, what's the best practice to safely remove the SD card, shall I just turn the Switch off?

Also is there a way to get my SD card to show up when I connect it to my Mac when I connect via USB?

so i saw a sys-ftp in the cfw settings thing in atmos 0.8.8 (fw7.0.1). does that allow us to connect to pc and use ftp somehow?

Hej everyone,

I've a question regarding the update procedure. When I want to upgrade to the newest FW, in my case 8.0.1, how should I do this? I'm running atmosphere 0.8.8 at the moment. Can I start the update from atmosphere or should I run the update from the OFW?

Thanks in advance.

Can i backup my NAND with a FAT32 card? I'm confused. If i, for example, use Hekate to do it, does it partition the NAND in many 4GB files? and how am i supposed to get them all together if i want to restore it? Does Hekate get it all together by itself?

You can backup your NAND with a FAT32 card, yes. It will split it to 15 2GB parts. To join them, you have the joiner scripts from the Hekate GitHub.

Hello, I don't know anything about cfw, it is may be an odd question but: is there any risk by using an SX pro that my switch become completely unusable for playing games offline?
I mean, I don't really mind being ban from online play as long as I can play legit cardridge offline...

Got a special case here. When I first installed emunand to my sd card i had it formatted to exfat. I did it this way so that I could install larger games from the micro without having to split up files. Now I'm slowly learning that there are other ways to install, such as from a network or possibly a usb flash drive?

If I want to reformat my micro to fat 32 and install again, should I keep any files from the micro as it stands right now? Furthermore, I have an older switch with the exploit. Should I upgrade the ofw to 8.0 before installing emunand again on the micro?
Thanks in advance for your time.

There is always the risk of bricking your switch. But if you keep backups of your NAND, boot files and biskeys, you can make your switch working again.
Generally: Don’t do anything you don’t understand. Always read and ask before doing something stupid.

Why you want to install again? You can copy and paste to micro sd. If you have created EmuNAND as hidden partition you copy that.

Because you can't move files larger than 4 gig to fat 32. That's the whole reason I'm having to do this in the first place.
