We now know what the mysterious Persona 5S is. Atlus has announced Persona 5: Scramble - The Phantom Strikers. Developed in tandem with Omega Force and Koei Tecmo, the game will be a Musou-style action RPG. It'll launch on both the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4.

Especially because they chose to limit themselves to just one games characters.

This. Why not have all the Persona games in it? I wanna play as Persona 3 characters, because that's the only Persona I've played, and liked it!

I can kinda see Nintendo fans frustrations. They wanted to at least experience P5 even if it’s watered down, they wanted to at least know about the story and characters especially since Joker came out for Smash but instead, another game turns into a Musou. Good for people that wants another of this genre but I’m kinda sick of it at this point.

It does seem rather funny that Nintendo is advertising a Sony exclusive game, lol.

I would gladly direct you to this worldwide graph I made the other day:

And whatever happens in Japan, the worldwide trend makes it look like perhaps ports to the west will not be as profitable.

Even with a (generous) linear estimation on further sales, the Switch still falls behind the PS4 worldwide, it might hit PS3/360 sale numbers at EoL... only in a very wonderful best case scenario.

PS: I need to use this graph as many times as possible to justify the 15 minutes spent in gathering the data and plotting it.

Yeah, nintendo fanboys keep talking how the switch is dominating japan, but it is a handheld whose have always sold well in japan. Dont do they remember about the wiiu? The true ps4 competitor of this gen and how it misserably failed? Stop with your higher egos, sony is still dominating this gen and near the 100 million mark.

You're kidding right? It's neck and neck with the PS4. A main line Pokemon hasn't released yet, and they're most likely going to release a cheaper Switch this year. And you're trying to tell me that the Switch sales are going to go down? And Japan does matter to Atlus, a shit ton of their sales come from Japan, that's why they're going to release Persona R in Japan first, and then world wide like 6 months later.
