I just restore backup nand then it cant boot into OFW and CFW. Im on 5.1 and backup nand is 5.1 too, my burnt fuse count is 6. Anyone can help?

power off console, manually re-enter RCM with jig and holding button, send hekate, renable autorcm, boot CFW. You can't boot normally with a fuse mismatch and when you restored you lost autorcm

which cfw are you trying and are you sure you restored the boot files?

Try restoring the backup again, if it fails again you backup was borked, if you don't have another good one backup then you need to manual downgrade

Is there even a point to downgrade yet. Restoring a backup of current firmware maybe if somehow a person messed up their system with a bad install or something.

after re-restoing your boot files does it boot cfw? yes or no, if no look on the sdsetup guide, read it properly and then follow instructions

My switch is on firmware 2. I’m going to be putting CFW on etc. Is it safe to then use Choi to update it to 7.0 or will this mess up the switch similar to downgrading does?

While it is safe, you'll burn some precious fuses. What you want is installing autoRCM, then and only then updating with Choi.

Mhm i noticed that too, but can someone pls enlighten me WHY people are downgrading at all? I mean i totally see why you want to use RCM, preserve your fuses so you can downgrade to an exploitable FW once there gets an cooldboot exploit or smth else interessting released, but there´s nothing out yet.
What´s the reason, the urge, to downgrade? Is there any reason at all to use a lower FW with RCM and hekate when your fuses are already burnt?
