Yo! A couple weeks ago I made a post explaining I'm hoping to make a video on the R4DS and it's various homebrew that people had created.

I'm wondering if it's possible in any way to get the R4DS Firmware, or at the very least the homebrew made for it, to work on a NDS Emulator?

Also, is there a repository somewhere that has archived homebrew for DS? I'm sure a google will sort that question quicky but thought l'd ask while here ahaha.

Simple question, probably a simple answer too, any help appreciated!

MelonDS DS in Retroarch can do it.

Also standalone MelonDS and I think No$GBA also can.

You need bios files, firmware files and flascart firmware. Not so straightforward, but it's easy in RetroArch as long as you have your own firmware/nand backup, otherwise you'll deal with the ones floating around the internet which already has their own pre-installed software which can lead to bad results.

melonDS can load the R4DS kernel as well as AKMenu-Next.

Of course, you'll need the DS firmware files (ARM7 and ARM9 respectably) and the R4 Revolution for DS ROM. With a quick search on Archive.org or other places then you'll find them. As for how to store the kernel, you can mount virtual SD cards in the settings; preferably, OSDMount can create RAW disk images to which you can mount into the emulator and copy files when needed with WinImage.
