Ever since switching to the new version, when I launch Wind Waker on GameCube (literally have not been playing anything else except Punch Out on Wii), Nintendont gives an error saying AHBroot is missing, meta.xml may be missing. It does infact have that file with the ahbaccess tag. The game works on the 2nd or 3rd attempt.
I think I read this could be the forwarder? I'm using the violet carbonik forwarder from the google site.

strange. if you are using an SD card can you edit wiiflow_lite.ini and under [DEBUG] set sd_write_log=yes and save
run wiiflow lite and try running the game. afterwards there should be a wiiflow.log file on the root of your SD card. can you copy and paste here for me to see?

Did that but it doesn't create the log file.
Wiiflow is on my SD card, the game is on an external drive. No log file there either.

Updated Nintendont from Aug 2018 to Dec 2018. Only tested once but it fired up on the first try. Will report back if the issue presents itself again.

Thanks for the quick response.

I manged to get wiiflow working with the Wii U gamepad by using this tool: https://gbatemp.net/threads/release-wiivc-injector-script-gc-wii-homebrew-support.483577/ and following this guide: https://gbatemp.net/threads/release...-homebrew-support.483577/page-97#post-7602507.
I tried to use the forwarder .dol and I just get a black screen when trying to load. When I use the boot.dol for wiiflow it works but wiiflow doesn't see my usb drive. Any help is greatly appreciated and again I'd like to say how much I love wiiflow and how thankful I am for the continued work on this project.

Thats what sucks about wiivc. Theres no usb access. Sd only. And even still you cant play wii games because you cant use cios. All you can do is launch gc nintendont games and i think plugin rom games.

Further to some of the, seemingly random, black screen issues, straight after Wii game launching, from SD card (front slot), mentioned here: https://gbatemp.net/threads/wiiflow-lite.422685/page-73#post-8559553 (applicable for standard Wii). After some more testing, I thought I'd weigh in, which might be of some use to others. The issues experienced have seemingly all but disappeared by setting, force load cIOS to ON, in the start up settings. Happy days!

Since updating from to the latest version, wiiflow still launches from my Wii U menu, but when I try to load the game, I get an error: "Can't launch in Wii virtual console mode"
I have it set up with wiiflow forwarder injected through TeconMoon's script using DWFA title id, and wiiflow channel installer 1.1
What could be the cause for this error?

Thanks.

see the reply to regiplex two posts up. you can't play wii games when injecting wiiflow or its forwarder into a wiivc game. there is a way to make a wii u channel that auto switches to vwii mode and auto lanches wiiflow. i think you have to use hbl2hbc or something like that.

Thanks. Ended up setting up WiiU2WiiFlowLite, and it worked.

So my issue with GC games failing back into wiiflow on the first try is def still present. Nintendont gives error 102 ahb permissions. Then it works on the 2nd and rarely takes a 3rd try.
I enabled the log but the don't see the file anywhere. Is there something I have to do to trigger it? I thought a clean quit back to system menu was all that was needed.

The wiiflow.log should be on the root of your sd card. Also try launching game via hbc and see if you get the error. If not then its the forwarder you are using.

For some reason, when I try to load Brawl, I get a black screen instead. I'm loading it from a Class 10 SD card, maybe that's the problem?

Hi,
good brawl dump?
re-load wii flow cache?
turn save game emulation to off (check individual game settings)?
force load cIOS to ON, in the start up settings?
sd card in front slot, i.e. not via usb adaptor?
wii or wii u ?

@Wiimpathy i see in abz's masterpiece pack neo geo cd plugin. as far as i can tell there never was a neo geo wii emu that can play neo geo cd's or is there?

but my understanding is they are just the same games as the neo geo arcade and AVS home system. just put on cd's to make them cheaper.
so we really don't need that plugin.

Yes i noticed it too while I was doing my set of sourceflow covers. Aside from Neo-Geo CD there are 2 other useless (IMHO) plugins that I found in Abz's mp pack: Atari Jaguar and Sega Saturn. Never tried any of these emulators, but I don't think that the wii can handle those 2 systems very well.

With @Jacobeian we ported NEO-CD REDUX to the Wii : https://wiibrew.org/wiki/NeoCD-Wii

To be honest, I've almost ragequit with this one. Untill today there is a bug causing a crash that I still don't understand...
I agree there's no need for a plugin. AES/MVS is far better, no loading or butchered graphics. However there are few exclusive titles. And perhaps sometimes better soundtracks?
In fact, fb alpha libretro is now able to play neo cd games. It could be an option...

I agree with jaguar and saturn. No game is playable at decent speed/sound. I don't find wiisx very enjoyable either...

@fledge68 a little request: now that we have platform.ini to define coverflows, would it be possible to also add backgrounds information there, for theme users?
So that when you switch to a theme that uses backgrounds, you don't have to manually add them to source_menu.ini
File names could be identical to source_menu images. Those from Abz's pack could be taken as a standard. In this way it could come already configured for the majority of users.
Or, even better, treating backgrounds like sourceflow covers, which are displayed if their files are named like source_menu images.

i suppose so. i think naming them the platform names in platform ini. put them in wiiflow/backgrounds/theme_name/. so when source btn is selected we get the magic # and get the platform name and use that as the title of the background.
