Hacking Question GoldLeaf 0.5 (latest) crash on 7.0.1 with USB install, possible macOS issue?

Hi there!

All set up with 7.0.1 and AMS 0.8.4 but I keep running into the problem that when I hook up the USB to my Switch, be it with Tinfoil or Goldleaf, the Switch crashes.
As I read more and more posts about it seemingly now working I am wondering if this could be a macOS specific issue.

Any pointers for me on this one?

He probably using the nightly version, which is unstable.

Fluffy doesn't seem to be the cause as the crash happens the moment I select USB install, even before using any other software.
EDIT: I have not even launched fluffy yet. Just connected the USB to my computer.
macOS 10.14.3

Here you go. This is with USB connected after picking the "Install over USB" option in Goldleaf 0.5. Same thing happens with Tinfoil (0.2.1 and 1.0)
EDIT: no fluffy or other software launched under macOS 10.14.3

I think this might be a bug with libnx and 7.x USB, as it isn't just affecting Goldleaf.
Other people have reported the same issue. Still don't know why does it happen, as I test on 5.1.0 and never heard of this issue but with 7.x people.

Ok fair nuff, I wasn't sure as it seems people have reported installing over USB works with 7.x
So for now this issue is not macOS related? Just will have to wait and see?
Any more information I can provide?

UPDATE: without USB plugged in SD installation works.
I can install TO SD but when I try and install to Internal memory I get a crash.
Perhaps this gives a hint as to where it is going wrong?

Hi man i had the same problem. Today i just install new atmoshpere/kosmos os and new firmware. I dont know why but goldleaf 0.4 dont work well with 7.0.0 and 7.0.1 switch update. I just tried goldleaf 0.3 on my switch and its worked. Hope i help you

I have not had or heard of any issues with USB on 7.0.

Wow thanx for your reply, and a first too! Perhaps you could tell me which payload (Hekate? fusee-primary?) you are using?

No luck, still the same. I am getting a bit confused/desperate as I seem to have an isolated issue.

I tried this with a clean sdsetup SD card.

Any other tips on where to look?

As this seems unrelated to actual software used (Tinfoil or Gold Leaf) but more a combination of my Switch, macOS and my current setup, could it be moved back to general exploits?

I am using Fluffy, or was. It seems the crash is not OS related as the same thing happens when using Windows unfortunately.
