One of the most memorable games on the Wii U, Super Mario Maker, is getting a sequel. There's a whole host of new things shown off in the trailer, such as being able to create slopes in levels, and the cat suit powerup from Super Mario 3D World being used in 2D. Once more, players will be able to make their own custom courses when it launches this June for the Nintendo Switch.

Yeah but like a ten year old waiting a year and a half is kinda a big ask. I'm sure they'll have gotten their money's worth out of a Wii U in that time compared to what the Switch has had. Not to be downselling how amazing the Switch is or anything, but the Wii U was pretty decent, especially for kids.

I don't know about any "Metroid Maker" or "Kirby Maker", but I remember a "Zelda Maker" that got taken down by Nintendo. As for a "Sonic Maker", there's this really cool project going on called "Sonic Studio" (iirc.)

You'd likely forego the content of others in its entirety unless someone sits around meticulously dumping and re-uploading every level ever made, and you'd lose out on any of the randomly generated gauntlet modes that pull from a repository randomly assembled from Nintendo's servers.

Uploading/sharing would also be basically dead aside from sharing a dump of your creation in some capacity.

Probably in this case, since this would actually be getting uploaded to their servers for once and wouldn't be P2P. So of all of the games walled off by pay2play, this one would actually have a server involved somewhere.

Zelda Classic's got you covered. I know it's not officially Nintendo, but honestly, I don't think it needs to be.

More on topic here, I wasn't really a fan of the idea of the first game even because of Lunar Magic. The fact that the physics remained like NSMB's throughout was also a turn-off. I'm hoping this one retains the physics from each game. That's the kind of thing that may make me interested in it.
