So i went to search about playing switch backup files via Reinx.
What is the difference between Installing NSPs and Installing NSP backups.
Are they like the same or 2 totally different things?
and again what minimizes the risk of a ban.

They are the same thing, NSP is just a format, pirated format of games are tends to be called backups, Don't go online if you don't want to get ban.

Does anyone have advice for upgrading from 4.1.0 to 5.1.0 using ChoiDujourNX? Without formatting or modifying anything, just using the tool to upgrade to 5.1 from 4.1.
Simple advice and tips please.

Hi, a friend to me have a weird serial number on his switch, its start with "XFL7014810" and i found nothing on internet and when i check on https://akdm.github.io/ssnc/checker i get "Warning" status, not "Patched" or "Safe". Can someone tell me if this switch is patched or not ? I can't try it for now but if it's possible i would buy a dongle before seeing him

Place the firmware files wherever you want on your SD card, load the homebrew application with your CFW of choice, navigate to the firmware files, press Choose in the bottom-right once you see the .NCA files and the rest of the instructions are pretty self-explanatory.

Unfortunately we have no idea on XFL units. People have reported seeing these recently but those who bought them didn't report back if they were patched or not. Since they appeared recently, it is a safe assumption that they are patched but nobody knows. My advice would be to try and look for a console with a more definitive serial number. If he has no choice, then there is still a chance its not patched.

I am paranoid that my Switch would possibly brick if I updated using ChoiDujourNX because I already have homebrew NSPs installed. Is it safe to update if homebrew NSPs are installed?

Unless you decide to shut off the console mid-installation or it runs out of power during the installation process, nothing can go wrong.
