I haven’t tried any of the builds yet so haven’t tried anything yet but read online how other ports had problems with remotes not working and looked over some of the steps people took to resolve the issues. I also read there’s going to be a new version of retroarch coming out this week.

Hopefully this happens, though, krzys-h github has been quiet for 14 days since he's busy with exams and classes.

where did you read that there will be a new release this week? do you mean an official release or just through here?

for anyone thinking v1.7.6 for retroarch will be any better for xbox one just forget about it

if they do officially release the current build on there website it will be like the slow version we have now

the code on github is the same code they'd use to release so either way we have to wait some more

Are you using external hard drive for ps1? Use desmune not the 2015 one. It works for me. And ps1 I put on internal with bios

If you're trying to run bin/cue format psx games, select the bin instead of the cue. That works for me.

Okay, odd question for everyone reporting slow speeds when attempting to scan files into collections.

Which USB port are you using?

When I used either of the rear usb 3.0 ports on my XB1X, I got terrible performance with my Samsung USB 3.1 Fit Plus drive. But tonight I switched to using the front usb 3.0 port and attempted to scan all my roms. I went to get some dinner and when I returned about 30 minutes later, it was just finishing up it's initial scan of the entire Mame 0.139 Non-Merged romset. It is currently zipping through all my other romsets at a rate I haven't seen since external drive support was added.

Edit: It has completed scanning all my other romsets and is now progressing through a second deep scan of Mame 0.139.

Edit 2: added video showing it's scanning Drive E not the internal drive.

Last edited by Joel Schmidt,
are all yours all zip files? i use the front usb and have tried the other 2 at the back and they all seem to go at the same pace. (slow as hell) also do they actually all show up in the catagories section? ive had it go fast sometimes but turns out it was just basically skipping them lol

I only keep the mame roms as zip files. Everything else I have is extracted. I'll have to wait until this is completed to check the actual categories, but I've been watching it and as far as I can tell, it has not been skipping anything.

I just remembered, that I had seen the skipping issue before also, but it would usually occur if I was scanning while playing a game. This time I am letting the scan run by itself.
