Guys, thanks for seeing this thread :)

So, I'll try to make it short. I just bought a Pro controller, the cheapest offer in my country was 83 dollars (they cost 110 dollars) and man, they feel AMAZING. I got one of the C revisions and I don't have any issues with the Dpad either ;)

My point is, do I still "really" need the joycons? Things is, I don't use the console in handheld, NEVER, only table top and docked. And I would rather sell them for about 100 dollars (they are 140 here) with grips included of course.

Is it worth it? Or there are "must buy" games that need the joycons?

I also have tons of Wii Classic controllers, and a gamecube controller, so with the money I would buy the Gbros adapter for them.

What do you guys think? Should I keep the joycons or sell them?

Thanks ^_^

Depending on the games you play, not really, but my opinion is its better to have them and not need them then to not have them and need them.

There are a few games that require them (Mario party for example) and there may be more games in the future

What games require the Joycons 100%? I mean, I think Mario Party needs them, but I don't know what else.

Think of this, Super Mario Party, Snipperclips (originally), and... another I can't think of... sorry ): only use Joy-Cons/ a Joy-Con. EDIT: SMO downthrow i think EDIT EDIT: no wireless like on plane, in car or you cant prop, just in case,

Is there "no way" to use standard controllers on these games? Because if there is no way, then that would give me a reason to keep them I guess :)

Thank you guys, you are the best.

Mario party and according to my girlfriend just dance as well. Those are the only ones to my knowledge (may be wrong)

But like I said there may be games in the future that require them and by selling them you remove yourself from being able to play those games

Ok, reason enough, I could get 100 dollars for them here, it is tempting, but if there is no other way to play some games, then I guess I'll keep them.

If you guys have more opinions, please add them! I am curious to know what you think! Also put yourselves in my place, living in south america where things are more expensive and salaries are super low (not complaining, just adding a variable).

I mean if you're happy to exclude yourself from these games then why not, to be fair Mario party is fun for a few games then meh. But I can't put myself in your boots so it's totally your call.

Use phone for just dance also i edited my post again.

I dont think the Let's go games support the pro Controllers ( i belive its just Handheld (both joycons connected) tablestop w/ left or right joycon/both for 2 player mode and the PB+ so that'd be another game if im correct that doesnt accept the Pro controller.

1 2 switch also needs joycons. Also keep the joycons since you'll never know what games might require them in the future.

Thank you guys! I haven't played a Pokemon games in years! Maybe I will play one of those, are they RPG's? Thank you all for your responses!
Not really , The let's go games are a Modern day sorta "Introduction" to the franchise much how simplified introduction "Final Fantasy Mystic Quest" was of its time to those new to JRPGs the Let's go pokemon games focus more on caputring pokemon in the style of Pokemon Go than battleswith only trainer/gym/Elite4. Their party size is smaller, less varied moveset, weaker AI, i wouldnt say they handhold spoonfeed you but its not godmode cheating easy. if you want a pokemon game on the switch, Gen 8 is due to launch sometime this year on the Switch

theres plenty of RPG's on the switch. w/ a nice lil side scrolling one just came out yesterday "Dragon Marked for Death"

Woow that game looks amazing! The Gbros adapter will be a perfect purchase for those games, the Wii classic controller Dpad is still unmatched (even by the Switch pro) and will use that to play these games. Cheers then and thanks for that recommendation! :)

I had no real problems with my 8bitdo SN30 Pro

Ok I will let you you know how good the Gbros adapter is. I will be getting it on monday hopefully, I accidentally updated to 7.0 firmware though. But I sill have a few original legit games, and I bought a few indies, so I will try the controller on those.
Most importantly I will check any lag, because I know these controllers are awesome ;)

I just got this one yesterday:

Dragon Marked for Death is a 7.XX Key game so you would of had to either wait for SXOS/Atmosphere to catch up or update eitherway XD

I honestly feel like start buying legit games though, my console came modded, but if I would've known indie games were as cheap as they are, I probably wouldn't have modded my Switch at all. If there was a way to know Nintendo won't ban me, then I would happily begin to "try" and buy all my games from now.

I think what Nintendo could do is to be honest about the banning process, but at the same time, be smart about it. They should "forgive" all those people with modded consoles, allow homebrew and emulators and forgive them for the games that they pirated in the past. Give them/us a formal warning and give us the chance to start anew, so we can start buying all our games from know on, without worrying about what we did in the past. But if there is any future piracy in our consoles then BAM! banned.

:) Cheeers!

Probably already been said, but prime example is Pokemon LGP/E where you can't use a Pro Controller.

Also reason I'm replying is you should get a Pro Controller mount 3D printed! I use one and it's great. Should only set you back $5 to $20 too. It's on thingiverse and it is thing:2973527 by SilkyChicken (I can't post a link because I'm too new).
