I've just installed an xci as an nsp however when I try and launch it tries to connect to the Internet, i have a dns blocker so it can't do this, but when I disconnect WiFi it still fails to launch saying it can't connect to the Internet. Any ideas?

I'm using SX OS BTW and installed via their built in installer

If you are talking about Doom, disable wifi then launch the game again.

Oh I re read your post. You can't play fortnite on CFW.

Oh wait your switch is broken, $30 and I'll take it off your hands. (for parts)

For one if you have stealth mode enabled in SXOS you don't need to do the DNS stuff.
The game I installed was breath of the wild, works fine if loading via xci, if I install it, it wants to connect to the Internet and therefore won't load.

I am using stealth mode with SX, but also doesn't work if I turn off wifi

What tool did you use to convert the xci to nsp? Have you tried NSC Builder?

I have not, all I've tried so far is the inbuilt installer that SX comes with
Ok, but you said you tried to launch the game as xci and it worked. Is the nsp file the same dump and if yes, which tool did you use to convert the game from xci to nsp?

I didn't convert, SX OS gave the option to install via xci, this is what I did.

Do I need to convert first, its a private dump. Do I need to get prodkeys to do this?

As far as I know, the builtin installer is intended for installing nsp not xci files. If you want to install the game as nsp, you need to convert it in nsp format before you can install it with the builtin installer.

Can you recommend the best way to convert and if I need any keys to do so, thanks for your help btw

Alright theres alot of misunderstanding here. The latest sxos has the ability to install XCI's as if they were NSP. The problem im gathering here confirmed by others is that when installing XCI's the updates and DLC's that were previously installed will not work on installed XCI games. My guess is that you need to re install them again to properly function with the game. Its trying to connect to the internet b/c its not updated

It is suppose to be able to Install XCI's now. I have seen a few people having issues with it doing it though.

I did click to install all and I think it did install the update and dlc first, maybe that'd my error. I'll try again when I get home

SuperXCI's are the best way to counter this issue. These games come pre packed with updates/dlc if you are too lazy to find nsp stuff. That way if you install them the game will have everything working.
The whole xci installing feels like its still in beta b/c it obviously needs some fixing.

No actually latest update with sxos allows you to install xci files as an nsp
