Hacking [RELEASE] X-PROJECT 5.05 SELF HOST

Is there anything that can change the profile name? Because I have restored a PSN activated profile, I know how to change the name displayed on the XMB but it still displays the original name inside some games, mainly racing games such as Assetto Corsa.
 
The only thing I know about is the 'online.json' file in your profile's avatar folder.
Have you checked that?

It will be in:
/system_data/priv/cache/profile/0xXXXXXXXX/

Yeah that's what I changed, but this only changes the name displayed on the XMB. Games that display your profile name such as Assetto Corsa and maybe other sports games still display the original profile name.

There is another couple of other files you could try:

User/bgft/userlist/activated.dat


Although my console isn’t PSN activated, and/or doesn’t have activated profile installed.. so mine are empty, and also have no avatar lol.

I will try find the other locations....

I was thinking of same location leeful mentioned... again mine didn’t have online.json, but had offline equivalent.

I just checked User/bgft/userlist/activated.dat on my activated phat ps4 and all it says inside is:N5k
I think my activated profile name on that console is either Leeful or Leeful74 so no idea what N5K is.

Gonna copy over the activated.dat to my non-activated slim and see if it does anything. (But I highly doubt it):)

Interesting... I copied over the activated 4byte activated.dat from my activated phat to my non-activated slim and after I rebooted my slim the activated.dat was blank again.
I didnt expect it to activate my slim but I thought it would just leave it alone.

!!! WARNING !!!!! I've just BRICKED MY PS4 DO NOT touch user/home/xxxxxxxxx/np/account.dat !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I opened account.dat and where it said Leeful74 I changed it to Leeful88 to see If it would change the username anywhere.

Now when I boot the PS4 it gets to the white playstation logo then shuts down.

I can boot into safe mode so hopefully all is not lost. Fingers crossed...

Damn, I hope you can save it bruh.

I know that demo is from 1.76, I had no idea it was still same on 5.05.

All is Good :toot::toot:

Not as bad as I thought. Obviosly not a brick, just an OS corruption.

I went into safe mode and selected restore default settings.

It did not initialize and wipe everthing, it just went through the initial PS4 setup screens. language,wifi etc

It's all back up and working. The only difference is it is now no longer logged into PSN. I know it was not actually connected to PSN before but I never logged out from when 5.05 came out so I could click on the Profile tab at the top of the screen and it would show my profile etc.. Now it just asks me to sign in to PSN like it does on my other PS4.

I have to admit, that had me worried for a while.

Word of warning to everyone. Be very cautious when messing with the files on the PS4. I was overconfident and almost paid the price.
That being said. It wont stop me messing, It's what I do.:D

I'm that used to changing and editing files on the PS4 I totally did not think to myself 'Is this safe to do?'

Well at least we've learned not to mess with that file. LOL

redownload the file .bin ?

maybe corrupted bin caused by incomplete download.

and also check it's right device you are flashing to...
