Hi everyone, 2 days ago I run kosmos(atmosphere) cfw on my switch 4.1 with help from sdsetup web.
I decided to update software without burning fuse and all goes ok,
but when I decided to install games with tinfoil I spotted some of them start to asking me about update, but why?
I'm running 6.2 cfw
How to rid of that pop up?

I 3D printed the jig to enter RCM. Used 2 staples and solder them together. Didn't work. So I went online and found a video on youtube using the exact same 3D printed jig as I do and followed how he did it.

Video name: RCM Jig Building and Testing

Posted in July. Not going to link it. Before that I was told that I made it too short as well so I decided to make the wires longer so I went out and got 24 gauge wires. I wrap them under the jig. I then cut it off before they got to the back of the jig just like the guy in the video.

Finished the wiring and tested it and still doesn't work. Since I'm a newbie I can't post picture so I made my profile picture the jig I made.

Steps:
1) Remove right joy con.
2) Slide jig and make sure it goes all the way in. Not forcing it.
3) Hold volume up, press power button.

XAW1006607X so my switch was not patched. Any obvious reason as to why these don't work?

EDIT: Wires made of copper

just to be clear once a game in installed it can be removed from the SD or do i have to keep it there like on xbox

Guys does anyone know how long a full raw back up of my clean NAND should take? I’m using hekate via my sxpro, it’s cutrently on 54% and has been on for over 13 hours now.

I've uninstalled a game, but still see it in Checkpoint available. I've not used it to backup this game's saves. Is it okay? If not, is there a way to fix it?
Deleting a title doesn't delete the savedata. That can be deleted from the console settings.

The newer firmware probably updated a list that lets the Switch know there are updates for certain games. Either downgrade or install the updates in .NSP format.

I just used a paperclip by cutting it with some heavy duty scissors. It takes a couple of tries to work but it gets the job done. If you want real advice, I suggest posting a thread about it since making a jig is not something I'd consider noob-worthy.

P.S. Even if your console was patched, it would still enter RCM. They cannot patch out RCM; they only patched the ability for the console to receive payloads in RCM.

If it is a .NSP file, it can be removed from the SD card after it is installed. .XCI files have to stay on the SD card.

Dumping the eMMC raw GPP shouldn't take no more than 2 hours. I believe you can cancel the backup if you so wish to.
which homebrew app has the fastest method of transferring files to the switch via wifi?
I only know of one FTP homebrew application.
Hello again, to make a NAND backup can I use a 32gb microSD Card?
Hekate supports SD cards as small as 2 GB. Just remember that if the SD card is FAT32 and/or there is less than 29.1 GB of free space, the eMMC raw GPP will be dumped in parts.

Getting ready to dive into it using sx pro on my new console.
I`m hoping to use both the microsd card (to play mobile) and usb (for home play) for backups........thats possible?
And assuming since I won`t play online (probably never) I`m just going to do a system update to the latest 6.2 OFW then start using the sx pro? No need to worry about fuses, etc.. if this is only going to be used for backups offline?

If you really don't care about fuses thus downgrading aka future exploits on lower firmwares such as a hypothetical untethered coldboot hack, then you can just go ahead and update online to the latest firmware.

Ok, with the 32gb microSD Card can I install a C.F.W. like ReiNX or RajNX?
Well you don't "install" CFW on the Switch but you can run any of the available CFW like ReiNX. However you shouldn't use RajNX since its no longer maintained and doesn't even work on the latest firmware.

Does overclocking reduce frame drops in games like BotW and Hyrule Warriors?

Firmware doesn't matter; only the hardware does which we determine via the serial number.
You are really on fire in this thread. You should charge $1 for each question you answer.

for those with switches on 4.1 but fusee patched, how screwed are we? i see dejavu threads and rip dejavu because som exploits were released without consent, a lot of drama. can I run emulators? homebrew? cfw? piracy? should I just update? thanks!

shall i use tab s4 to push bootloader? or is it worth getting a dongle? how often will i need to re apply the bootloader. my switch is usually powered docked..i assume if it doesnt turn off - the bootloader remains.

i will be buying a rcm jig rather diy but consdering a dongle/or using my existing android device.

i also have a win 10 machine/macbook - not sure if this could replace a dongle

which bootloader do you reccomend? (to play backup of my own games)
do games save as normal?

im in uk, so not sure if you could reccomend any sellers/products

thanks

Getting error "package 2 magic invalid" in ReiNX, I tried the latest stable and nightly to no avail.

Atmosphere works but I need sigpatches so I can play "my backups", any solution to this? I thought the latest commit/update added full support for 6.2.0?

It did. Delete reinx.bin from your sd card. also make sure you are pushing the new payload

Do. Not. Update. 4.1 is the most vulnerable to the new version of pegaswitch meaning you will be able to do more with it, maybe even cfw.

You only need to send a payload whenever you turn off or reboot your console. If you leave it docked or in sleep mode, you do not need to resend a payload.

Hekate is by far the best bootloader as it can load any other bootloader as well as CFW.

And games don't save differently between CFW or OFW. The saves are always stored in the NAND.

If you want recommendations on where to buy, I recommend Aliexpress and eBay.

Hi guys, little update.

So i now have a clean NAND back up, emuNAND is installed but i havent activated my SXOX yet by entering custom firmware.

I want to use ChoiDujourNX to update my emuNAND and sysnand to 6.1 (currently on 5.10)

Is there a decent guide to using ChoiDujourNX via SXOX which mentions using emunand?
