If by RM you meant RCM, then yes.So the CFW is on the MicroSD, and everytime I have to put the machine in RM ?

Given that no one is (publicly) working on it, a couple of years at least. How soon do u guys think a GameCube emulator will be on Switch, (not through lakka)
For me, I just updated the system online while using Atmosphere which protects AutoRCM and haven't been banned yet. The only other way to update OFW without burning fuses is by rebooting into RCM after the system update is finished installing. You have only one shot at this so you'll need a really good jig if this is the method you want to use.If I need to update the OFW but don't want to burn fuses incase I need to restore to original NAND, do I just boot with RCM and Hetake? Not sure how u update on OFW without burning fuses since I don't think you can use apps to apply updates.
is it possible to just leave the jig in during the update or you gotta time it ?Given that no one is (publicly) working on it, a couple of years at least.

You can just leave the jig in. What you sort of have to time is holding volume +. I don't know for how long you can hold it before installing the system update but you need both to enter RCM.is it possible to just leave the jig in during the update or you gotta time it ?
That sounds like you didn't actually install the games but either an update or DLC.I downloaded some games in nsp format.
Installed nsp via tinfoil to NAND > NO to ignore required firmware version
"You must have the software in order to play." [cancel] \ [nintendo eshop"
What do I need to do in order to play these games?
If you're using EmuNAND it should segregate all the incriminating data to allow you to boot the unmodded OFW with minimal risk. That's the whole point of an EmuNAND. It's not foolproof, but in theory it removes the need for restoring a clean NAND backup (since that's basically what one partition is left as).if i ever wish to take my switch online i just restore the nand right ? what about if your using emunand would it be okay to just start the system without emunand or should i always restore the nand ? and does that really remove everything like eshop logs or whatever
Yes, check "Firmware status" pinned.-Is this still true?
-Is Reinx/atmosphere considered a homebrew app that I can launch with that exploit, and if so will it do pretty much anything once I am in it and do all the installing/patching or is it some kind of dual boot CFW?
-Is there currently a way to 'spoof' versions so that I can play newer games without updating the switch firmware so I can stay on 3.0.0?
Do you mean the game icon?Is there a way to change the photos of games on the switch that is a nsp installed onto the switch using tinfoil?
There's several tutorials available:Hello everyone, im looking to install custom firmware on my switch, i have many questions :
to begin, is there a tutorial of a switch guide like the 3ds one ?
which one is the best between atmosphere of reinx ?
where to get the files i have already used tx one time but i give it to my nephew.
i have no jig but a handmade paperclip, will i lose my games ? if no how to proceed ?
thanx in advance and happy new year to all
I don't think anybody is completely sure. In theory, it should work... That's what my hope is (although I may just never play online). It is definitely your best bet.Hello again. First thing I am going to do after buying the machine is to backup the original NAND.
Let's say that after some I would like to return the machine to OFW and play online, I will be banned? If I install again the original NAND will avoid ban?
