Hi Guys,

first of all, happy new year :)
And thank you for all the work you put in here to help us Noobs.

I have a problem. I installed and played Super Smash Bros Ultimate before and everything was fine.
But after I installed the Update for 1.2 (for the 6.1 Firmware I am) it will not start anymore. It only say´s "software could not be started". So i deinstalled and installled the game without Update and same Error. Installed it with the Update and Error. I even deleted the registered Placeholder for the Update an reinstalled the game but Error. Do you now how I can fix this?
The last two Options i see is too completely formart the SD Card again (but it´s so much work for one game, every other game runs perfectly) or to Update the firmware to 6.2 and try it wih the Update for 6.2 for the game.

Thank you a lot!

This is highly speculatory as I don't know what exactly the fuel gauge is but I think its a representation of the battery which deteriorates over time so that small bit of deterioration possibly made it different? Again, unless you're reverse engineering the console, there is not much usage in having a dump of the fuel gauge so I wouldn't fret too much over it.

Thanks man, that makes perfect sense. I done the first one when the battery was at 100%, done the second one straight after it at around 85%. Looks like I'm good on CRC checks for everything that matters. Thanks again for your help :)

I'm having an issue combining my 15 2GB nand parts on my mac... I've downloaded the correct script, placed it in the same folder and executed it. However, it fails to find the location of any of the 15 files ('no such file or directory'). But they are in the same folder. I have the same issue when trying it on my other mac. I also extracted the script text and ran it through terminal like that (while in the correct directory), the command is cat and terminal starts listing random characters forever. This should be super simple I don't understand what is going wrong

I done mine on the Switch using an exFAT micro SD. Hekate dumped it as one file, even though I haven't got the exFAT driver installed on the sysNAND. Might be worth a go.

Thank you for the reply, I should have used exFAT in the first place. I made the stupid assumption that it wouldn't work because my firmware didn't support it. Now I already have CFW so the NAND won't be super clean - I will probably just have to do this anyway

The raw Smash updates need firmware 6.2 in order to be installed. However if you're willing to give NSC Builder a try, you can patch them to a firmware as low as 5.1

I've been reading things for weeks. There's a lot to take in though!

So I have suddenly starget getting an error while trying to access my SD card through TegraRcmGUI with UMS SD Tool. This work just a week ago but now I get "Error while injecting payload (RC=-2)"
Injecting normal payloads work and I can get into atmosphere and play games etc but not idea why this suddenly started occuring, any ideas as to why?

This is why I suggest everyone to use TegraRCMSmash as it has superior functionality over TegraRCMGUI for no trade-off.

Hello and Happy New Year.

I want to buy a Nintendo Switch, hack it to play backup games.

I know the latest version is 6.2 and atmosphere 0.8 is working with it. But I read something about patched consoles. Is that exists?

So if I buy a patched machine, will be possible to add the atmosphere 0.8 on it?

Thanks in advance

No

Thank you. So If I buy the unpatched console, install the atmosphere 0.8, what else should I need to backup the games?

Also do you have any list from the games that play without problems?

Thanks a lot!

Well if you're downloading plain old vanilla Atmosphere, its going to be missing a lot of stuff such as the homebrew menu, patches for backups, recommended homebrew applications, etc.

To use the homebrew menu, you need both hbloader and hbmenu. Hbloader goes in the folder that is named after the CFW you are using e.g. /Atmosphere whereas hbmenu goes on the root of the SD card. Both of these together need to be used in order to change the Album into the homebrew menu.

If you want to play games you don't own using Atmosphere, you have to include some external patches.

Then once you've acquired the patches and the homebrew menu, you need a homebrew application to install games. The best one for that is currently Goldleaf which just released. Homebrew applications go in the /switch folder which would go on the root of the SD card.

As for games that play without problems, most of the time, user error prevents people from playing a game. Theoretically no game should have trouble launching provided you properly follow instructions.

After installing the CFW, should I have to redo it everythime I switch off the Nintendo? I ve seen videos on Youtube, that in order to instal a homebrew app for example, they put again on recovery mode the Nintendo and plug the dongle again.

We cannot install CFW.
