It's about the system, I will be in touch on Discord :)

edit: it looks like the problem might have been using a fixed IP on my Switch, by setting IP to Automatic but DNS to 90DNS it's blocking just fine.

Is this working? I keep getting a could not perform DNS name resolution error. Yes I don't have a manual IP set, and i double checked it, I typed it in correctly.

90DNS seems to be down right now. I had it set and working prior to today, but in the last hour my switch cannot connect to the internet, when I reset DNS to Automatic, it can connect. Can this be fixed?

On it.

Seems like a problem on server provider's end. Restarting server.

Fixed. Had to move to a new server, all good now. IP is same.

Around 1h of downtime happened. NO DATA WAS SENT TO N, AS NO DNS = NO CONNECTION.

I moved to a new server and assigned the old IP to it, so everything should function the same was as before. This time I went with dnsmasq instead of bind9.

Sorry for any inconvenience.

You do not have an app .nro that does this to protect the switch permanently. My child can accidentally connect to any network. If it had some app like SXOS stealth mode.

Don't mention TX shit on my threads, thank you.

Having a homebrew NRO for this would make no sense, as you'd need to add your wifi for the homebrew to be able to change your DNS settings, which means that you'll be exposed to N until you run the homebrew, one way to avoid that would be to add the network manually and give incorrect data, at which point you could just input 90dns instead.

Not an nro, but maybe a sysmodule, or a patch to system functions, and not to change your network's dns settings, but to provide dns blocking automatically on all network connections. Just like the unmentionable does.
It would be a great backup to have alongside 90dns, so you don't have to worry about exposing yourself by accident when connecting to a new network.

i had this on for months constantly on wifi with it while developing on 5.1.0 after 6.0.0 came out with no issues, you positive you entered both primary and secondary DNS fields and never connected to any networks without it?
