it's a my game cart new.. i dumped it and used with sx os never online and i don't remove te cert inside of it... it's safe? Thanks
That's as safe as you can get, but you never know what Nintendo might do. I personally have only used my own dumps (with cert) and haven't been banned.

Did you update your .XCI/.NSP games online? YES
This is the reason you were banned. You updated your .XCI files online which voided your clean NAND. Then when you restored your clean NAND, you sent a red flag to Nintendo since now they could tell you flashed a NAND backup (because it differed from the tainted NAND you used when you updated your backups).

I called Nintendo after my switch was console banned and they said to just deregister it on the website as my primary console, and that nobody else would be able to access my files assuming I changed my username/password.

Before I link a new switch to my NNID account (since I had digital purchases), I wanted to know if it would be safe to since I just wanted to keep a legit switch around for online play (Smash/MonHun)

Realistically, I would say its safe as long as you don't hack the new console. But since this is Nintendo we're talking about, I'd say there is a very small risk involved.

Just curious not to sure if this has been discussed but was there a case where a banned user played against a non banned user and that caused the non banned user to end of being banned. In this case I’m talking about a user that never used any cfw.

No and that most likely has never happened due to nothing in that scenario involving said non-banned user violating Nintendo's Terms of Service.

Is there a way to get a banned console unbanned? May be a stupid question with an obvious answer, but I want to know if by having a backed up NAND you may be able to unbanned it, since I recently got banned from the 6.2.0 update and I can't seem to do anything online now. I have a back-up from months ago, so I was wondering...

Also is there a way to completely format said console? Being by using RCM or something?

I bought 2 switches for my kids for christmas. the serial numbers on the box arent patched. I made the mistake of buying single carts two games they wanted and didnt think it through that they would each need a cartridge to play at the same time. wasnt planning on cfw but now im wondering if i used cfw on one and dumped my own cartridge, would this be safest as far as avoiding ban? also if it did get banned would they still be able to play against each other locally, which is all i really need anyway

AFAIK there is no known way of running a game copy without high risk of ban. Keep in mind you can't get game updates while banned or access the eshop. You can play locally, however.

A NAND dump is just a copy of the console's NAND. Its like when your computer stores a backup in case a future update or program messes it up.

Also I don't understand what you mean by completely format the console. You can perform a factory reset but that doesn't completely format it.

Thanks, question revision. Does airplane mode keep us safe? Theoretically if I decided to do this and left the unit on airplane mode until I decided to no longer use cfw, restoring the backup nand and proceeding to use it stock.

Airplane Mode just delays a ban. If you notice, its been removed from the questionnaire. That's because as long as you enable Airplane Mode, you have pretty much banned yourself. Not to mention that Airplane Mode can get disabled when switching between handheld, docked, and sleep mode. The only real purpose of Airplane Mode is to prevent accidental connection to Nintendo Hotspots if your bringing the Switch out into the open.

Okay I think that answers it thanks. I supposed one banned console and one clean isn't the worst thing in the world .Especially if they can play locally. I will just not expose my Nintendo iD to the manipulated one

That's what I meant. A factory reset. It just won't let me do that since every time I try it says the console was banned from using online, as if I needed online to reset it.

Funny to think that not too long ago, people said if you used layeredfs you'd get banned but my little brother still plays fortnite every single day on my switch (No restores).

So you are saying you loaded xci, then booted normally and updated? I feel like I read enough people say not to do that
Yeah, i did that since Day one i bought this console. All is good. xD (I Mount the XCI, turn off the console, then turn on the console with no CFW and update my games, profit).

If i get banned we will have a very specific reason for it, loading XCI and updating in OFW.

I might do that and roll the dice on one of the consoles then.
